This place has more coffee drinks than Starbucks and they are way cheaper! They were open earlier and closed later than other coffee joints we tried to go to.

Service was bad, rude. They let our order sit at the counter till we finally realized is was our food. We had planned on eating there and they packed it to go. After realizing their error, slapped my husbands eggs on a plate and stuck it in the microwave. The guy at the register did come by and said he... More

Great food. We had the late night menu for appetizers in 2010. The boneless wings and the chicken Quesadilla were awesome. It was most definitely our favorite meal on the trip. We called for take out on our 2011 trip to get the same thing but were disappointed to find out that they no longer had the Quesadilla.

Friends who frequent the Outer banks suggested that we go the the Avon Cafe. We decided to go on the last night of our vacation, what a treat! Previously, we wasted our time and money at the numerous "family" restaurants along the Rt. 12 strip. We started off with the crab dip served with home made warm bread! Delicious, plenty... More

I see all the good reviews on here and just have to say our experience was not that great. Maybe we just hit in on a bad night because all in all, the food was very good but nothing else was, though. The place was filled except for one table. It is a small place, though, so when I say... More

This used to be my favorite place to eat... not anymore!!! We usually make it to OBX a few times a year. Avon Cafe used to be incredible. It seems like after they enlarged their restaurant, it started to go downhill. It appears as though they have had a staff change. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take... More

A real suprise on the OBX. Lot of great seafood restaurants on the banx but this one has an imaginative chef that comes up with some innovative seafood dishes. Good selection of wines and beers. Great attentive service. Prices are a good value. It's also a guitar shop. Weekends live music is great. Well worth the stop. Ate there 1/2... More

Our party of six went to the Avon Cafe on Sunday evening, Sept. 5. We were one of only two parties there. Our server was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food was certainly good, but I expected better, judging from other reviews I read. We had a variety of entrees that ranged from outstanding (shrimp and grits) to disappointing... More
