We ate at the Mad Crabber on a Wednesday night. The Market price was $33 for a lb, or $39 for a 1.5 lb order. I've seen a lot of reviews that say this place is over priced, but it was right in line with all the other restaurants in the area. For three adults and one toddler we ordered... More

Super friendly service, amazing fried shrimp platter, and great prices! My husband had the snow crab legs - yum! Meals come with fries and some yummy hushpuppies.

I think they have great crab sandwiches, and their pulled pork special was to die for. Very original place, I have never experienced another place like it. We also liked that the prices were decent and not overboard.

First trip to the Outer Banks and went here based on trip advisor reviews. Not happy to say the least. My wife ordered the calabash shrimp for $10 and could have fit all of the shrimp in a closed fist. At other places where we've had calabash shrimp it's overflowing with shrimp. I ordered their flounder with Thai sauce for... More

Ok so we drove past the place 5 times or more in the days leading up to actually eating there. The reason was bc there sign outside said line 1 "daily special 6.99 (line 2) Tuesday ayce crab legs" so we assumed the Tuesday 6.99 lunch special was ayce crab legs.....so we go in expecting to get that deal. When... More

My wife and I were trying to find a good seafood place in the OBX. My wife ordered the steamed crab legs and shrimp. When they came out, the we're smothered in Old bay seasoning which makes my wife sick. The waitress just stated the steamed shrimp come like that and she could have them rineed off. No apologies, no... More

Good food, casual decor, arrive early to beat the larger parties. If you can't eat crab, there are other choices to be had, but this is definitely the place to go for crustaceans!

The Mad Crabber used to be the go-to place for our visits to Avon, both for great food and great service. The food quality has really fallen off in the last few years - but the prices have gone up. Crablegs were waterlogged and mushy, rice was crunchy on this visit. All the fried items tasted like the fry oil... More
