Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known...
Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

Fresh seafood done right

By far the best restaurant we ate at while visiting Atlantic Beach. I bought the grouper over a bed of risotto. It was fresh and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the pork belly which was the best I've ever eaten. My husband had the soft shell crab and scallops which were also cooked perfectly. We... read more

Best food I have had in a very long time, waited an hour but worth it. Service was great and they even had entertainment for those waiting.

We happen to be visiting nearby emerald isle the past few years during our anniversary....and always come here to celebrate during the week. Minor wait for table (had cocktail in connect (small but cute) bar...sat outside patio for our meal & out of this world as always! Try fresh specials & of coarse do not pass on desert. yum! We'll... Staff attentive, food good, prices higher than your average beach restaurant but for a nicer than average dinner it is worth it. Usual seafood fare, must try desserts! But expect a wait even if you arrive right at opening at 5pm.

Wow! $2 more than other restaurants but its on the beach. Been there several times. This is an extraordinarily well-run FIRST RATE RESTAURANT. The menu is perfect, the service is perfect, the communication between your server, the front desk and kitchen is miraculous and as it should be...smooth and effortlessly flowing. I have NEVER tasted ANYTHING there from kids meal... More

We went early to avoid the wait but I don't really think this was necessary on this Sunday evening. This place is noisy because of low ceilings, exposed metal air ducts, and metal chair legs scraping on a concrete floor. The view from the sound side room is obstructed by large frames and small glass windows. Sweetheart gave us excellent... More

When we come to Atlantic Beach each year, we have dinner one night at Amos Mosquito's. The food is very good. This year I had scalloped scallops, and they were perfectly done in a light cream sauce. My wife had crab cakes. Once you get to a table the service is very good, the manager attentive, all the staff is... More

We arrived here at 4:45 (restaurant opens at 5:00), and there was already a line. By the time the doors opened, there were at least 50 people waiting outside the door. That was a good sign. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you would order here. I had the fresh catch which was yellowfin tuna, with a... More

We came to Atlantic beach looking for local food and was hesitant to going to the #1 rated restaurant due to price, and menu choice. We had to wait a good bit, but during our wait we were entertained by a friendly magician, an appetizer was given to us for the wait, the staff specifically the man behind the front... More
