Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

This is a great place. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. The only draw back is that it is THE most popular place in A.B. and can get very very busy.

AM is a great restaurant to visit. If you get fried seafood - it is lightly fried and we substitute a veggie and potato instead of fries and slaw. They often have my favorities - grouper, trigger, red snapper, etc and they are always changing up the way it is cooked. Never had a bad fish meal yet. Don't like... More

This is a solid choice when visiting Atlantic Beach. The menu is diverse and includes a good selection of seafood dishes. Family Friendly. Be prepared for a moderate wait time for evening dining, especially during season! Popular for the locals also.

As always the food was excellent. Knowledgeable servers and the bartender made the wait for our table very pleasant. Expect a long wait especially on Thur for Sushi and weekend crowd on Friday and Sat.

Went there last night with the wife and another couple who are friends. This was not the first visit and I had been looking forward to returning since the last one. It was as good as I remembered and expected. Get there early if you don't want to wait. They open at 5 pm and we were there at 4... More

We arrived late; almost closing time... Instead of the typical huff given to most late night diners, we were greeted enthusiastically by the owner! This place is a testimony to hard work and commitment to excellence. We had a party of 7; not one bad meal. Service was truly 5-stars. We'll make this our first stop every year. Thanks for... More

Interesting restaurant. Good food. Good atmosphere. Three diners in our party. One had the Triggerfish special--very good. Second diner had jerk chicken--good but not excellent. Third diner in the party had Scalloped Scallops which came with asparagus and mashed potatoes . All three elements were very tasty. The scallop dish had to much "loose" liquid in the dish. Needed to... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way into Atlantis Lodge. We ordered takeout and the staff was very nice and even brought our meal out to the car as we were traveling with our dog. Would recommend this restaurant .

The bread they brought out was pretty tasty, but the soup was way overpriced for what they brought out in a 'bowl,' maybe a saucer would be a little more on the mark. They charge a mandatory $3 for splitting an entree which made me mad because I don't like mandatory. That said, they split the entree portion in half... More

The name, location & initial external view may be a little strange but persist and you will be rewarded with the best food at the beach. The wait staff are fun, friendly & competent. The kids love the smore's for dessert and the place is family friendly. Check the times for opening as they vary off season. They only serve... More
