Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

This was restaurant recommended to us by the front desk receptionist at our hotel when we checked in here on the Emerald Isle, N.C. Pine Knoll Shores. We were looking for some good crab cakes. Being from Maryland and loving our Maryland crabs, we can be a bit picky about what is good or not. I have to say that... More

I had the best scallop dish EVER at this fun restaurant. My other half said his flounder was his favorite ever. Unfortunately we were there the last night they were open for the New Year's holidays so we could not go back and back and back! I do not know how they decorate normally but for Christmas it was so... More

Perhaps if I had had a different main dish I would give it a 5, but the Flounder with Peach Chutney just did not do it for me. The calamari was delicious with a little soy sauce to go with their dip. The lobster bisque is well worth it, and the delivery was fun. The flounder just didn't do it.... More

My family and I visited Atlantic beach on vacation and of course tried Amos Mosquitos due to the high amount of publicity. We travel often and consider ourselves foodies. I have to say, I thought it was all just, ok. Nothing really stood out except the bill, which seemed high from our dining experiences. (And we've paid $400 for a... More

View off the outside dining deck is relaxing and fully protected from inclement weather. Drinks are well made (Dark & Stormy, Mai Tai) and food is uniquely paired for texture, taste and presentation. They make a noteworthy spicy bread crisp and jalapeno cornbread and finished it off with an Orange Brownie Creme Brulee! Main entrees; crab and roasted corn patties,... More

We have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. It certainly did not disappoint! They open at 5 pm, we arrived 5 minutes early and there was a line waiting outside! The waiters have nicknames, ours was Buttercup! We saw Dixie, Sweetie Pie, Curtis, and Roscoe, it was amusing looking for these nicknames embroidered on their shirts. Service... More

15 minute wait for a table so we went to the bar. Got a drink menu in 2 minutes, waited 10 to place our order. Got our drinks right as our table buzzer buzzed. Husband got the table I closed out the tab. We sat next to a huge window/door that can be opened in the summer. Shared pork dumplings... More

A restaurant with a really good atmosphere, dining and bar area. Seafood and service were all very good and the Martinis were excellent. This was our first time at Amos M., but will definitely return.

Every time we visit Salter Path we always must go multiple times to Amos Mosquito's. The food and the atmosphere are great. You need to get there as early as possible however unless waiting does not bother you. No reservations are allowed. For good reason the place is always full.

Months later I still dream of scallops, and crab cakes. My family ordered take out meals because I have three very small children who cannot tolerate waiting for a seat after a full day at the beach. I have never had scallops so wonderfully light and buttery, with the most amazing flavor. I don't think I knew that was how... More
