Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

The advice in other ratings about arrival before 5 PM opening was correct. Our party of 2 couples arrived at 4:30 on a Tuesday and there were two dozen cars in the lot. At 4:45 folks got out and started queuing up in front of the door. The first in line wanted a table for 17 once the doors opened.... More

At one time of another, we all find ourselves in a queue wondering if it will be worthwhile. If you are in line waiting for Amos Mosquito to open, the answer is an unqualified YES! They open at 5:00 PM with a line and a full parking lot and stay busy until closing. We covered the waterfront with our selection... More

The food at Amos Mosquito's can't be beat. Delicious. Great selection. Great service and nice people. We had a window next to the Sound and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The only drawbacks are that it's expensive (expectedly so) and a long wait to get it (about 50 minutes, even on week nights).

This was hands-down the best meal we had on vacation. It was worth the wait...so, speaking of - you have to get to this restaurant around 4:30 (they start seating at 10 till 5:00) and usually wait in line to sit down. Don't show up at 5 or 5:30 - you'll be looking at a long wait. We learned this... More

Eat here every year and gets better everytime. We started with fried pickles and they are great. Then had a huge wedge salad and the porkchops with mashed and sautéed spinach. The chops and spinach were excellent. Service was great. Just make sure you get there early cause they are very busy since they are the best on the beach.... More

This place was well recommend by the locals. We knew one hour wait was expected. The parking attendant suggested to walk across the street and enjoy the sunset at the end of the pier while we waited. We love the bar at the end of the pier. So friendly! We watched people fish on the pier and saw a beautiful... More

After reading other reviews this place was a big let down to all 9 of us that went. I would like to say that what I ordered was good, but it was not worth the long wait or the price we paid for it. We waited a little over an hour to get a table and from what we witnessed,... More

I was here for the first time last week with a party of 14. We waited about an hour and half, which is understandable for a large party and a popular restaurant. The customer service was excellent, I will give them that, but the food was sub-par, especially for the price. I understand that this is a restuarnt in a... More

This place is the best on the Island if you're looking for a place with good food and atmosphere. We found "Skeeters" on Trip Advisor and it's #1 spot was right on. Granted, we had to wait a 45 minutes to be seated it was worth it. As soon as we got in it was quick, fast, and in a... More

By far our new favorite beach restaurant on the Crystal Coast! After 20+ years of exploring different restaurants on the beach we decided to try this place. Well the first night we tried midweek and after trying to find a parking spot left after 10 minutes determined more than ever to try again. I had read prior reviews that warned... More
