Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

The reviews for this restaurant are very good so we expected a great meal. The wait was almost a half hour, but that was expected as it is always busy. Once we were seated and placed our orders, the waitress, "Fancy" poured our drinks from one pitcher while holding another. The second pitcher poured onto the floor and splashed on... More

We read reviews and decided to try here out last night on vacation. We telephoned ahead to see if we were able to make a reservation, but they do not accept them. The staff member advised us either to get there early at 5:00 pm when they open, or come and leave our name and then expect over an hour... More

There was a wait but it wasn't horrible. We sat in the bar area. The lobster dip was awesome. Great service. Only wish there was more of a selection of salads. The steamed clams appetizer was excellent with chorizo. Would definitely visit again.

We ate here our first night in Atlantic Beach and it was amazing! Our family of three each ordered a different entrée and they were all outstanding. My husband ordered the Shrimp & Grits and swears he hasn't had grits that fantastic since his grandmother made them. We ended up eating here all four nights of our stay in AB... More

Come prepared to wait. The staff did a good job with projected wait times - slightly under projection in our case. The staff were really friendly and did a good job during a very busy evening. The food was good - some dishes better than others - but overall, pleased with the dinner. I would recommend when in the area... More

They do not take reservations, and have limited seating during the busy season. So if you have a party of over 4 (or kids) make sure to take some snacks because our wait time was over an hour. We were there on a Wednesday night 715pm (ish). Thursday night is the BIG/busiest night so plan accordingly. Lots of fun choices,... More

Our party of five was seated on the enclosed patio. Loved the decor out there. Bread basket was really good with the spicy firecrackers our table favorite. Fresh catch of Tuna was deliciously prepared. Crab cakes excellent as well. Service good. Definitely give this a try!

After a very disappointing dinner at a nearby restaurant (that also had received good reviews), we were so relieved to enjoy a wonderful dinner at "Skeeters" on our vacation. We had excellent service and enjoyed the meal from appetizers through desserts. Yes, there was a long wait and there were still people waiting when we left at 9 PM on... More
