Description: Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known...
Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.

Arrive at 5 to avoid a long wait

Calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked. The big Skeeter platter was good. Meatloaf was fine. Hamburger was fine. We were disappointed that the "garage door" styling of the sound side room partially obscured the view of the water.

After reading all the overwhelmingly positive reviews of Amos Mosquitoes our group was a little surprised by our experience. In all fairness, we arrived on an off business night and arrived late. Late enough that we were a little surprised that they were still serving dinner. It was much closer to closing time than to dinner time.. . . Our... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by some locals and it didn't disappoint. The staff that greets you is very friendly and we were given option of waiting 20 min for a "sound view" room seat or being seated immediately in their dining room. We chose the dining room after the host showed us that we would still have a... More

I try to go at least once every time I come down to AB. The food is great, the waitstaff is phenomenal. The owner is very engaged and wants everyone to have a great experience. Dessert time is the hardest - it is so hard to choose!

Hard to believe it's the number one restaurant in Atlantic Beach. Mediocre food at fine dining prices. I even sent the clams back because they were tasteless and rubbery.

This is a seafood restaurant but I ordered steak and it was probably the best steak I have had in years! Wonderful flavor and very tender. I would suggest not going on a rainy night like we did. Wait time was an hour a and a half and once we were seated it was in the bar area and it... More

Not sure what all the hype is about, might go back but only if needed a break from Crab’s Claw which we thought was the best in the area. • Blackened Fish & Shrimp – 2.0, good quality fish & shrimp but the blackening was way too blackened, just overpowering on the seasonings. To their credit, they were happy to... More

We chose to eat here because of its location in reference to where we were staying. We arrived at 8:00pm on a Saturday. After waiting for 55 minutes to be seated, we hoped to be floored by the food. Not so. It's just average. The waitress was very pleasant, but the food/selections were just okay.

Went to this restaurant for the first time in years, food was incredible. Wait was a little long but was understandable for its huge popularity. Service was great and food came out very fast. High worth the wait and recommend

Wonderful food- the grilled fish of the day is excellent, we ate at Amos's twice and the food and service are fabulous. Even though the food comes out very quickly. You just get seated with a cocktail and wow there is your dinner-however, you are not rushed or made to feel that you need to leave your table. Staff is... More
