My family and I have dined at this restaurant for 16 years, but only for breakfast. We have a nearby condo and walk to the restaurant. I cannot comment on their lunch or dinner meals. We'd rather drive to Morehead City or Beaufort for lunch or dinner where there are some really good restaurants by any standard. The breakfast fare... More

My wife and I wanted a full dinner for our last night at the Beach. We decided to try Clamdiggers, because of the favorable write-ups on Tripadvisor---and we're glad we did. Lisa was our waitress, and she was both pleasant and attentive. Ask for her if you visit--it will make your meal that much better. I had a bowl of... More

This restaurant is located will be in the clamdigger inn, a moderately priced hotel in Pine Knoll Shores. Every room has a balcony onto the ocean, but the restaurant does not take advantage of this location. It is an older building and the restaurant shows it. There are some reasonable entrées and some locals see the bar as a gathering... More

Had a shrimp and mushroom omelet that was decent. The coffee was lukewarm and you can't find REAL butter or REAL maple syrup in this place. Our waitress was nice enough but, the entire staff needs some training. I realize that this isn't a four or five star restaurant with a chef in the back but, damn. Do you have... More

We went for lunch on a Sunday. The food was not very good and the service was slow. The woman who waited on us never asked how the food was and got my husbands order incorrect. We waited 15 minutes to get the correct order. Not coming back.

We dined at Clam Digger based on reviews and it was in keeping with our expectations. We are from central NC , had we been there we would have left saying that was pretty good. The price was in the range of $9.00 to $14.00 average, water to drink. Ice in the water was that good crushed kind, loved that.... More

Went on Wednesday evening for the seafood dinner combo: flounder, deviled crab, choice of fried shrimp or fried oysters, slaw, hush puppies, and choice of fried okra, fries, or baked potato. Based on someone else's review requested table with view for ocean. Not many customers, initial service was a little slow, but got better, flounder tasted a little fishy, but... More

My wife and I have been vacationing in Emerald Isle for many years and had never tried Clam Digger. What a mistake! The restaurant is inside the Clam Digger Inn Hotel on the ground floor with easy access through the lobby. It has a nautical theme with old wood accents. I ordered the shrimp and crab panned in butter with... More
