great local spot!

Best hush puppies and fried shrimp we've had in a long time and we're from down east! Friendly staff too! A real down home treat.

What has happened to Dixie??? I have lived in Asheboro almost all my life, and this was the place to go for great food! In the last year the food has gotten worse and worse! It has no taste at all. The meats are tough and the vegetables are absolutely tasteless. I cannot believe they have ruined the best restaurant... More

This is the place to get them! They do an excellent job on both! Drive thru or sit at one of the booths inside and enjoy!

I was in town looking at property to relocate out of the cold northeast. The realtor suggested that I have dinner at this restaurant. It was a kind of nasty weather day for North Carolina so things in general were not as busy as usual. I arrived for an early dinner and was promptly seated and served my beverage. The... More

Nothing fancy just basic home style southern cooking. Great deals. Can tell it is a local favorite because every time we drove by it was packed. Our waitress was a sweetheart too!

After a visit to the zoo we ate here based on Trip Advisor's reviews. The fried chicken was excellent as were the hush puppies. I ordered regular coffee and received decafe. Ugh! Green beans were overall warm with some cold spots. Overall ok as diners go, and reasonably priced.

Busy place. We were craving chicken, and this place delivered wonderful, juicy chicken with tasty breading. Lots of side choices, including hush puppies. Wonderful waitress.

Looking for a place to eat on our way home from vacation. Intended to stop at American Roadhouse across the street but it was closed. Headed to where the traffic was! Oh my! Grilled flounder with 3 sides. I had fresh fried squash, Lima beans and corn and wonderful mashed potatoes. The hush puppies were great. My friends enjoyed the... More

Wife and I eat at Dixie III about four times a week for lunch and see other folks doing the same on a regular basis. Great food at a reasonable price.

Very nice Southern Cuisine, crowded with locals, food was better than expected, fast service and a great price! Less that $17 for the two of us.
