Asheboro does not have any truly great Chinese Restaurants and Bamboo Garden fits right in with the rest of them. With a little effort and some variety they might get past Mediocrity and make it to the best in Asheboro, but alas that is not true. Buffet is the same as it has been since they moved to this location.... More

Bamboo Garden is an occasional choice for my wife and I to share a mid-week lunch. While the food remains good and there is ample choice on the buffet, our dining experience is becoming tired. The restaurant could use some updating and brightening to improve the visual appeal. More importantly, the buffet menu has not changed in two or more... More

The food here is good...no complaints. If you dine in and eat the buffet the price is reasonable BUT, hold on to your appetite if you want to take out. It's charged by the pound and to me it's expensive. Three times I have gotten take out in the styrofoam box and didn't get that much. Each time it cost... More

so I went here for dinner on a Saturday evening around 8:00. food was not hot, small selection, and very poor choices if you have a kid. pepper chicken, pepper streak, pepper shrimp, and lots of fried foods. would be a good meal for the price if it was better.....

Ordered pepper steak and General Tso's chicken to take out. Not sure the pepper steak was made with beef. The meat was tasteless, and the main ingredient was onions. There were about a dozen pieces of green pepper in the entire serving. The chicken was flagged as a spicy dish, but there was no heat at all. That would have... More

I don't usually care much for buffets, but I make an exception for Bamboo Garden. The price is very reasonable for the selection of food and the owners are actually Chinese, so the food is prepared right.

I ate here and reviewed it in August 2012. Since then, the ownership has changed, but my review hasn't. First time back, I was very pleased with the friendly staff and the buffet selections. All was quite fresh and, unlike many oriental places, not salty. The price is very reasonable, and a good value. This is not gourmet oriental, just... More

Although the website tells you that the restaurant has been owned by the same women for 34 years, it was sold last October and now has new owners. That said, they go out of their way to make good, fresh food and to treat their customers well. Food was hot, fresh and not expensive.

We stopped in for lunch on our way home from Myrtle Beach. The food was good, the buffet was well stocked and the service was very good.

Previous reviews apparently by employees. Food was greasy, over cooked, and rubbery....worst Chinese restaurant in Asheboro. Complete waste of money.
