I ate dinner here with three co-workers recently. We went for the 1/2 priced burgers. They were HUGE. The side of vegetables that I ordered as cooked perfectly and not loaded with grease as is often the case with many restaurants. The service was friendly and very kind in addressing the fact that our ticket was lost in the kitchen... More

J Butler's has been a fixture in Archdale, NC for many years. Although it's a bar/restaurant, it had catered to families. The food was pretty darn good and the staff was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, very few things remain the same and J Butler's ain't what she used to be. The wait staff has become the WAIT staff. It seams... More

We met there after market. Cold beverages flowing with the games on TV. Usually the food in these type restaurants is all the same, but the quality here was definitely a step above. We had 2 appetizers and 4 different entrees. All solid. Waitress was fun...

The bar has a great way of making you feel like a local with its friendly service. The beer was cold and the food was just a step above bar fare, but on the higher end for this quiet area. Just be wary of the very active local police as they don't have much to do other than to watch... More

lots of food options. food was tasty and the right temp. The waitress joked around with us. It was not a quick meal though if you are in a rush.

In town on a business trip. First night in town stopped at this place for dinner. Typical bar atmosphere. Beer was cold. Food was nothing exciting, and very over priced for what you got. Bartenders were friendly.

We flew in late (American Airlines delay, go figure!) and were searching for a place to eat that wasn't fast food. They were still open, though not crowded, and were happy to feed us. The service was great and the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was a bit loud - typical bar atmosphere which I like. AKA music playing... More

Unless you are a smoker or enjoy walking through a smoke filled bar to get to the non-smoking section, then you probably want to stay away from J Butlers in Archdale until the smoking ban goes into place in January. That said, the food is good and the staff is very nice. I just am not satisfied being treated as... More
