We tried Skippers for lunch to see what it was all about, and we were pleasantly surprised with the both the friendly service, and the quality of food. I had fried clams with onion rings, and my wife had grilled shrimp. Both were delicious. The fried clam basket was overflowing with fried goodness. The flavor of the grilled shrimp was... More

I've been to Skippers twice, the first time I enjoyed the fish tacos...yummy. Served three ways...baked, fried or blackened again yummy. Last visit was with entire family. The mean enjoyed fish and chips. I tried the baby shrimp platter. I should of gotten the portion which was the baby shrimp and three hush puppies...ladies plenty of food trust me. What... More

I've eaten in only once or twice...place is small and looks more like typical fast food spot. So often get food to take out. Example...lunch: fish sandwich. You're eating way too much if you can handle the huge filet (literally platter size) and feel full! Good quality. They'd just added a raw bar. Sides are good. Counter service is speedy... More

We have eaten at Skippers many times as well as ordered take out. Our meals have always been great. We usually get the onion platters and have plenty of leftovers.

High Quality Fish platter, Fish Sandwich or Claim Chowder with all the trimmings cooked well and served fresh and hot. Friendly service at a fair price.

Have been here several times. This time was for lunch with my wife. She ordered the Fish Sandwich. It had not one but TWO huge, delicious fillets. I had the combo with scallops and clam strips which was piled high. If you go here though you really should try the Lobster Bisque, it has plenty of visible chunks of lobster.... More

Family owned, great taste, large portions, good prices. Agree with other reviews that the batter isn't heavy and the frying isn't greasy. My husband and I generally split the 3 choice combination platter (we choose cod, scallops and baby shrimp) and are more than satisfied and full. For those who just won't eat their seafood breaded and fried, Tuesday after... More

Ordered classic fish & chips plus 1/2 lb of fresh caught steamed crab! SO delish!! Both items fed my 2 teens & I! Loads of great fish, not greasy or slimy like we've had elsewhere. Crispy, light and tasty! Hush puppies come with each meal and are simply yummy. Huge amt of cracked crab legs with drawn butter! Steamer Tuesdays...well... More

I stopped at the Skippers Fish Fry for a quick lunch while on my way up to Raleigh. The restaurant is located close to the highway and stands alone by itself next to other establishments. It looked like it used to be another fast food restaurant previously as the set-up was the same as one would expect to find such... More
