Great place for fried seafood

Just as others have stated, the fish sandwich is a HUGE fillet! It makes a normal size bun look small! We ate outside on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed everything. The hush puppies were great too! The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The is on my revisit list!

I've tried almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. I'm a regular at Skippers. The fried seafood is great but they also offer steamed and grilled fish as well. The fish sandwich is a premium cod or haddock filet. Always a good choice! I love the shrimp and especially the scallops. You won't be disappointed. It's a... More

My son and I enjoy an occasional meal at Skippers Fish Fry. My son got the beer batter fish - it was very good. I got large shrimp and they were fried much too hard - in old oil. The fried okra - also too hard... my meal was not edible. Not a great experience this time... the cashier was... More

We love coming here. They have tasty food, great hush puppies and all for a good price. The kids meals are hearty. They don't skimp.

Had a Saturday lunch at Skipper's and among the 4 of us, we tried a lot of the menu. The "fish sandwich" (no type of fish specified) was a huge disc of fish that has as much outside the bun as inside! The flounder sandwich was 3 nice sized pieces of fish, warm and steamy when you bite into it.... More

This was really an excellent fried seafood dinner. I cannot eat fried food that often, but this place is like eating at the beach! It's a good place to seek when you are in the mood for fish! It's fresh and always seems to be crowded (always a good sign) but somehow you don't really have much waiting time. I... More

I don't know why it took us so long to eat here! It is crazy busy but they have no problem keeping up with the crowds. The selection is large, the prices are excellent and food smoking hot & delicious! Hushpuppies are amazing! With that being said, I see no reason to ever make flounder at home again...when we want... If you are looking for good fried seafood -- Skippers is a great choice. It is not fancy, it is not fine dining. Counter service for takeout or dine in -- you can call and order too. Portions are very generous and the food is tasty. This is in not good for you seafood but it is good tasting. Skippers... More

This casual place serves numerous fried seafood selections and "steamers." The fish sandwich is a heaping portion. If you make it in for lunch you'll get fries (or slaw), drink, and hush puppies with it. Platters, combo platters, jambalaya, gumbo, clam chowder, and chicken strips or hot dogs for the non-seafood fans are offered. It's one of the few places... More
