So-so pizza

I was visiting Apex on a business trip when I decided to grab some lunch at Anna's Pizzeria. It is in the neat old downtown strip of stores in Apex. The inside is nicely appointed. I ordered a slice of buffalo chicken pizza. Let's just say the quality was just ok.

Food is always good but sometimes slow coming out. Veggie pizza with the thin sliced eggplant is superb! They have upstairs space for large groups and can be flexible with a group menu. A little pricey if your kids are just the cheese pizza type. Garlic knots rock!

The restaurant was very noisy. My fiance and I had to lean over the table and speak loudly just to talk. The calzones we ordered were smaller than you would expect and included two very small containers of marinara that weren't enough for the meal. When we asked for additional sauce we were told they would have to charge us... More

I love italian food, so much I took a trip to "Little Italy" in New York. Overall the meals are good at Anna's. If you eat upstairs, it will be a lot quieter, downstairs is just too noisy and crowded. But check ahead, because the upstairs is only open 2-4 nights a week. Pizza I never have acquired a taste... Found this cute little Italian place while we were in town for a soccer match. I don't understand why anyone works as a server if they don't want to earn a great tip. Introduce yourself, welcome me to your restaurant, ask if we'd been there before, talk about some of your popular dishes. Our server never came back to the... More

Anna's in Apex is a great home town feel place. The food is excellent but the customer service not so much. Will never go upstairs again service was the worst and they didn't seem to care even after we said something. Also sent letter no reply. Don't go as often as we use too, now only maybe 2 times a... I love Anna's! I've only ever had their pizza (not their pasta) but everything I've had has been delicious. Their bruschetta and barbeque chicken pizzas are my favorites! The wings are also delicious! This is my go-to pizza takeout place (and on slow nights they're deliver if you're nearby).

My experience here seems to be different then most other reviews on this site. I had excellent service from Meredith and my 2 slices of lunch pizza meet all my expectations. I will decently be back!

This was our first and most likely last visit to Anna's. It was a Saturday night and we expected a wait. However, They did have room for us upstairs. Our drink order was taken within 5 minutes, but It took about 30 minutes to get our food order taken. When the food came out, our appetizer was delivered to another... More

2nd trip here. Last time was in summer of 2014. I visited with my two teenage kids this time on a wet and rainy Saturday. Turned away by a neighboring restaurant as we entered at 11:08 and they would not open until 11:30 and we just couldn't wait any longer for Brunch.... so down the street we went to Annas.... More
