Great vibes, friendly staff and well done fish and mezze. Far enough down the strip that tourists don't seem to have discovered it (yet). Great prices and the raku selection was great too!

It was amazing what we had at this restaurant. Grilled kalamari, grilled octupus, lots of wonderful mezes were unbelievably delicious. Prices was OK since we paid for lots of things to eat and also for 2 bottles of Raki. Do not hesitate to have dinner here. The restaurant located just next to Halikarnas night club.

Great seafood - fresh, simple and delicious. Popular with locals which is always a good sign! We had the sea bream which was excellent but mezze were also great. Fab value - our meal came to less than 50TL and was the best we've had in Bodrum.

We simply fell in love with this cosy restaurant on the seashore just 3 minutes walking from our hotel (Gulbaba). Baba is the eccentric old man in charge of the second floor and I think without him the place wouldn't have half the charm. With a permanent glass of raki in his hands he can do every kind of unexpected... More

We found his place through Lonely planet. the restaurant is next to Orfoz, which i have also reviewed. This place is far less expensive and very casual. There are barely and tourists and the staff appears a bit disorganized or inattentive but they are quite nice. The staff does not speak much English. The cuttlefish in ink and grilled calamari... First it is not a dining spot and more like a fast food service. Need to request 2-3 times before getting what you want. It is sometimes nice to be around crowd but not at this spot, You may be sitting next to a cab station and chairs and tables are plastic and not in good condition that you do... More

We have been invited by friends and we had a delightfull evening. We have not eaten fish but only cold and hot mezzes. It is one of the only places I know in Turkey where you can eat calamari in their ink. Delicious! Nice fava, fried calamari, special Aegean greens, eggplant salad...I do not remember the rest but is was... More

The Berk Balik is not grand in terms of linen table cloths and silver service, but it serves beautifully prepared fish and the service is friendly but not over bearing. It's easy to see why it's popular with both locals and tourists - great food , great service and exceptional value.

We were walking around the bodrum streets and little late for a dinner. Berk balik was the only one quite full. We decided to try without any expectations. We ordered 5 different appetizers, 1 main to share and 20cl raki. Everything we ordered was quite good and the prices are cheap compared to the other restaurants in Bodrum. Also the... More
