Kalbur is located at one of the hidden places in Ankara; if you are not a citizen or guided by someone local, it may be hard to find but definitely worth the effort you're gonna put in. The owner Mr.Mehmet and his wife is always there wellcoming the guests. The place is very small, with small tables very close to... More

Kalbur is one of the oldest seafood and fish restaurant in Ankara. Quality of foods are never changed by the years.Foods are always fresh, delicous. You must rezerved your table before. There are two things which I do not like:1-Tables are very close to eachother, and space is small 2-they do not accept credicard.

I gave two star based on the value. The food itself I think was a 3 star. On the upside, the food is prepared Turkish style which is a unique experience. But they tasted to me just ok but nothing exceptional. We didn’t order much since the choice was limited. The cost was about 60TL per person which is on... More

This is a unique sea food restaurant at Oran, Ankara, Turkey. It is a small family restaurant. Menu is unusual.. You can eat fish pastrami or shrimp with kadaif!.. They have nice vine collection. All mesas are delicious. Fish is so good. Price? inexpensive... 30-40 USD/person including drinks

This restaurant serves the best fish and seafood dishes I have ever had anywhere. The atmosphere is basic, the place is small and cramped in a non-descript strip shopping area. Despite that, It is always convivial and happy because of the food. The owner and family oversee everything and make sure it is perfect.

I have been a regular customer of Kalbur for years, and quite often take friends who visit me out of town to Kalbur when I want to prove to them that we have better seafood than Izmir or Istanbul. However, you dont go to Kalbur to eat fish, you go there to eat what Mehmet bey provides you. Just let... More

It was interesting to see a restaurant specialized on sea food in a city quite far from the sea. However in Kalbur we have found all types of sea food in a very creative manner. We like see food and it was great to see many alternatives that were created to give tastes some of which were quite different than... More

Interesting but very expensive sea food in a 5th class restaurant, very rude service, terrible ambiance, I am not sure whether they have a WC.
