I guess if you visit Ankara for the first time, Ulus is a good stop to see old anatolian style and old city center. This place has a good view of the city in the breakfast room. The breakfast is typical turkish one and the variety is good. The atmosphere is authentic and peaceful. The staff is welcoming and one... More

I have been there on several occasions with friends, during my business trips to Ankara. The restaurant is located on the Ulus hill, in an old house, probably built centuries ago. As you enter it, you feel like entering a museum, as there are exhibited numerous old artifacts, including mannequins dressed in old costumes. The restaurant is at the upper... More

Not fresh lamb. "Filet mignon" not really the "filet mignon", and the veal very very hard ( we had to use ours hands to eat it because of the forks couldn't help)..

We were excited to eat here after reading the lonely planet review. Instead we recieved the coldest reception of any place we stayed or visited in Turkey. We did like the live Turkish music! Sadly we cannot recommend this place.

This seems to be the place to eat when you're at the Citadel. The restaurant itself is 3 floors and the eating floor looks over the Ankara cityscape. I went for lunch there and had an eggplant salad and grilled meat balls and it was all yummers. Staff didn't speak much English though

Everything is stunning about this restaurant. Its location in the old castle, its height and views across the city, the atmosphere. And of course the food. This is rated as one of the top restaurants in the city for very good reason. I am not going to recommend any dish in particular. It is all superb, fresh food. Don't pass... More

Before going to Turkey we made online reservations at Zenger Pasa. We wanted to sample the Manti, Turkish Ravioli covered in yogurt and spices. After a visit to the Museum, we walked up the street/hill and entered the Citadel. An ancient walled very old area at the very top of Ankara. We found the restaurant, housed in a 500+ year... More

The place is just a tourist trap and we were not even tourists! When the funny dressed guy placed a machete on my husband's throat, supposedly as a joke, we were thoroughly unimpressed....:(
