I guess I'll be a bit biased with my review since I ate here during a Christmas party which was partially sponsored by one of Tita Moning's grandsons. His presence made the tour before the meal more meaningful and interesting. Anyway, eating here was a unique experience. It was a place where time slowed down. It was a place where... More

My aunt and cousin were in town to welcome 2015. We had originally planned a hotel buffet for dinner but learned about La Cocina De Tita Moning and boy, did we make the best decision of giving the place a visit (reserved in advance). I particularly liked the idea of converting an ancestral house (Legarda family in this case) into... More

Since the place can cater only to a small number of customers, reservation is highly recommended. The table setting, ambiance, and food, everything brings you back to the early 20th century. Dining here is quite pricey so, maybe, reserve it for special occasions.

We were part of a party of approx 35 and split over 2 tables in separate rooms. Quite a unique experience to go here, it's like eating in a museum or could also be described as eating in someone's house, bizarre? The food is traditional Philippine cuisine which isn't to everyone's taste but what I would call wholesome food, soups... More

nice place but when you drive there take a ID with you as you will need to pass the military checkpoint where you will surrender your eg driving license. nice place and they make a lot of efforts. also to see the old house especially the doctors office if you are a medical practitioner is great. certainly value for money.... This is a wonderful dining experience, which begins with a guided tour of the stately if aged family compound and culminates in a charming turn of the (20th) century meal served by attentive staff. A must for history and architecture buffs. A good place for celebrating special occasions, as the evening we were there no less than 3 patrons in... More

I was very excited to ho here. Upon arriving, outside you wouldn't think of it as a restaurant. It looks like one of the old houses rich people live in once, and it was. Upon entering the house on the right side you can see a room where they sell take home specialties where I bought quezo de bola spread... More

I read most reviews before visiting this restaurant. True to most if not all reviews, the experience is wonderful. The history, the ambience, the service and food are all very good. I would highly recommend this place

Most people go to restaurants for the food, but at La Cocina de Tita Moning, you also go for history and tradition. There's a quick, interesting tour of the house before the start of the meal. The tour gives you a glimpse into the life of a well-to-do family in a bygone era. We walked into different rooms of the... More

My family likes antiques and collects a lot of good ones so the place didn't really feel "new" to me. I also wouldn't say they serve the best food but you come here for the overall experience, ambiance, food, history and service. Servings are so generous you take home with so much baon and pudding was good :)
