This is a wonderful dining experience, which begins with a guided tour of the stately if aged family compound and culminates in a charming turn of the (20th) century meal served by attentive staff. A must for history and architecture buffs. A good place for celebrating special occasions, as the evening we were there no less than 3 patrons in... More

I was very excited to ho here. Upon arriving, outside you wouldn't think of it as a restaurant. It looks like one of the old houses rich people live in once, and it was. Upon entering the house on the right side you can see a room where they sell take home specialties where I bought quezo de bola spread... More

I read most reviews before visiting this restaurant. True to most if not all reviews, the experience is wonderful. The history, the ambience, the service and food are all very good. I would highly recommend this place

Most people go to restaurants for the food, but at La Cocina de Tita Moning, you also go for history and tradition. There's a quick, interesting tour of the house before the start of the meal. The tour gives you a glimpse into the life of a well-to-do family in a bygone era. We walked into different rooms of the... More

My family likes antiques and collects a lot of good ones so the place didn't really feel "new" to me. I also wouldn't say they serve the best food but you come here for the overall experience, ambiance, food, history and service. Servings are so generous you take home with so much baon and pudding was good :)

From a short tour of an old Heritage House inside the Macanang Compund owned by Don Alejandro and Dona Moning. The restaurant is managed by great grandniece. The paintings by Zalameda, Hidalgo and Juan Luna, old furnitures and photos by late Don, his office ( he is a doctor) to their children's ballerina costumes were displayed, to old Radios. We... More

When you talk of great restaurants, people normally mention Makati or The Fort but deep within the city of Manila, La Cocine de Tita Moning exists. It's a restaurant set in a traditional Spanish-era home. The surrounding displays are great throwback to yesteryears. Because its located a stone's throw away from Malacanang, people who dine are are mostly important, prominent... More

This is such a fantastic and original restaurant! You should definitely give it a try. The service is fantastic, I felt I was treated as a VIP guest. The room is reserved, they prepare everything before your arrival and give you a great tour while they prepare the food. To be honest, it wasn`t one of the best meals I... More

The main selling proposition of this restaurant is its AMBIANCE. Dinner included a tour in an ancestral house built in 1936. The house was able to preserve the original structures, furniture and fixtures and even the lifestyle and hobbies of an ultra-rich doctor during the American and Spanish era. It was interesting to see old cameras, an old clinic of... More

You're really missing out if you don't try it. The house is beautiful, the tour is fun and interesting, and the food is top notch. Salad with fresh greens from their own garden, and some of the best paella I've ever tasted. Service is also impeccable and friendly.
