We frequent Cafe Ysabel everytime we fly to manila simply because their food is really good. We always have the steak, very tender and tasty. The setting is an old filipino house so you can only do so much without ruining its appeal. It's a good place to go on a date or have an intimate dinner with friends and... More

The place is not really known when you take a taxi since their signage is not really visible along the road; however, when you arrive in this place, it would reminisce you in the Spanish era wherein house and interior are all antique with added lights that would surely be perfect for romantic dinner date. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable... More

I have been eating in Cafe Ysabel for many many many years now. I have not gotten tired of eating in the place. This is the one on P. Guevarra in San Juan. Still cozy and yes maybe the interior has to be upgraded, but then again the decor has that 'homey and traditional feel. Food has been and still... More

I call it "best kept" because it is not located in a busy dining districts and a little bit secluded unlike the others. It's location is not really of a issue. I been to this fabulous restaurant for the Nth time. This is the first time I'm writing a review about it since I'm not a member of TripAdvisor during... More

Food is at best only average. You just get overwhelmed by the ambiance. Check out how the kitchen looks like. Really filthy, wet, and grimey. Won't pass sanitation.

Authentic ambiance with a homey feel. Really good food, too! The spicy pasta (I forgot, but it has a catchy name) and risotto are very delicious. OPM music or instrumental songs were serenading us while eating. I will definitely go back here. It is worth the trip to Greenhills.

Was looking for a romantic anniversary dinner date online and i chance upon this restaurant, the reviews were good so i gave it a try. The place is like an old spanish house turned into a restaurant and the interiors are filled with old memorabilias, the lamps ,even the floors..it has that old rustic feel. The foods are delectable and... More

It's been almost a year since I got the" YES" from my ex gf now fiancee here in this memorable place. My plan made possible with the help of the staff. It was perfect because when I ask her the question we were seating in the table called the YES-table! I'll let you, to go figure . Anyway, before I... More

The experience was ridiculous. We were nicely welcomed by one of the waiters upon arrival. However, i kind of think it went too far. The customer service is so sub-par. I called for a waiter's attention to ask him to light a candle for our table. I gave him a wave, and he responded by giving me a nod as... More

Cafe Ysabel is a beautiful place, tucked away along P. Guevarra St in San Juan. The reviewers are right- you could miss it very easily and should instead be on the lookout for their school signage, the Center for Asian Culinary Studies. Photographers would probably zoom in on the money shot upon disembarking from their vehicle- a sweep of Cafe... More
