Travelling with balikbayan friends, I had to think of a restaurant that has a nice ambiance and great food. Since my friend was out of the country for decades, she longed for Filipino food. Coming from Fort Santiago we finished the tour nearly 1 p.m. so we went to Barbara's on the second floor of the building across San Agustin... More

We had lunch in Barbara's and it was a very positive experience. We chose the Lunch Buffet and, despite they do not have many choices, all the food was very tasty. The Latin environment of the restaurant was very cozy. The live band was very relaxing. The restaurant is located in a interesting historical building with an nice entrance. I... More

I tried the same food here on my two visits and I would say the experience was really quite opposite. First time I went here to have afternoon snack with one of our foreign volunteers (rainy day), we had the fresh lumpia which was VERY COSTLY at first look but otherwise, we both enjoyed it and found the taste to... I felt like visiting friends from colonial times. The buffet came across like a party set up. Ample choices with staple Filipino favorites and must-haves. Soup that day was Suam na Mais and salad had pako. Last time, there was lato! For the main dishes, I had the Kare Kare, Binagoongan and Laing. I skipped the adobo, fish and noodles.... More

After our National Museum visit and a short trip to Jollibee to freshen up, we went to Barbara's Heritage Restaurant at Intramuros for dinner. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Intramuros, we had our eat all you can dinner buffet, buffet opens at 6:30PM. It's a very classy restaurant that exudes the old Manila charm. While we were waiting for the... More

We came here to celebrate our last night in Manila and it was such a treat! The cultural show was absolutely a highlight of us stay in Manila and a fantastic introduction to Kultura Filipina! The show went for about 45 mins. The food was reasonable. It was delicious, but there wasn't too much of a variety for a buffet.... More

WE had dinner here after our Fort Santiago tour. The place is like old Manila with antiques. The staff is quite friendly but food is average. The dance show is great! Costumes are beautiful!
