Had their authentic chinese pigeon for our food binge. Very good and juicy, tender and the sauce is just savory. WORTH THE TRIP. Order your white wine or beer to go with it. It is such a perfect pair. renovation may help the atmosphere.

Without being an expert in chinese food, we have liked the food in here, the medium portions not being for 4/5 persons as they kindly announce, but merely for one hungry person (with rice). We ate here twice, visiting other chinese restaurants in the Ermita area in between, but we preferred by far this one. The only down point was... More

Yesterday, we ate a late lunch in this Chinese restaurant along Roxas Boulevard. There are 2 sections of the restaurant: the other is opened for lunch and dinner , while the other is opened for all day dining. We had the very delicious fresh , crunchy, sweet sour fried grouper (lapu lapu), and the fried spicy squid with onion leaves... More

I have been a regular at the Emerald Garden for years. Dropped by for an early dinner, luck was with me, I was early enough to get the last of the live shrimp swimming in tank by the enterance. Had planned to have my favorite crab; so had the steam shrimp and then the steamed crab. As I was alone... More

We were all nostalgic in the office one time and we decided to drive over and visit Emerald Garden after we visited our colleague who was confined in a nearby hospital. I ordered my favorite Shrimp Balls and their signature Fried Noodles. Unfortunately, the Shrimp Balls had too much starch and not as much shrimp as I remembered. The fried... More

I love Chinese food and this place was fantastic! The service was a little slow but the server was apologetic and very kind. I love Szechuan style and this place didn't deliver the heat or spice I was hoping for but overall, we were all satisfied when we left.

Go to Emerald Garden for affordable & well-cooked chinese food. Their yang chow fried rice has lots of shrimp in it. The dishes which I ordered were labeled as small but were quite generous. The restaurant is showing signs of age though and a bit of renovation would not hurt.

Excellent food. We ordered four "small" dishes which turned out to be quite large and had enough food to feed five people. The sweet and sour pork is lovely. You do not get the standard fried to a crisp, heavily battered dish. Here you get stir fried pork that has a light covering of cornstarch. It is mixed with pineapple,... More

This is one of their best-sellers. It is simply called siopao, a dimsum delightful snack. Personally, I refer to it as written above, because it was made more famous by an unfortunate event in Manila years back. You'll never go wrong with this order. It is tasty and heavy on the stomach due to its size and content.

we celebrated my mother's birthday there and since she can not take meats, we ordered seafood ... my brother ordered a big plate of prawns and they were really fresh and sweet, simply prepared but divine! their vegetables are fresh too.
