We spent an amazing weeks holiday at Angsana Velavaru and had a late flight departure back to Australia. The Resort General Manager, Nicholas, suggested we had an early dinner at Sala Thai in Male as we had a lot of time to kill before our flight. The resort arranged a boat to take us to Male after our seaplane flight.... More

We went as ending for our trip from Medhufushi Island. Got a night in Mahlé and went here for dinning. Is difficult to find. But is a very good place to eat. The spice level is milded, but tasty nevertheless The Owner himslef will serve You, advice. Strobgly recommended. Price are a little too steep for Mahle, but OK

Love it deeply. One of the best restaurants in Male. Great food, friendly and helpful staff. Must try. Amazing Thai food. I would love to have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Pricey, that it true.. But quality is awesome.

Authentic Thai food with nice resort setting, food is definitely over priced. End up paying about US$80++ for a meal...

Lovely ambience. Food is great although there are much cheaper places to eat in Male. Happy to switch out meat/fish to make food vegetarian. Very spicy so beware. I like spicy food but 2 peppers On the menu means HOT. Good food for a special occasion.

We enjoyed our meal here the restaurant is tastefully decorated and had a good feel about. We had a problem with our payment card and this was dealt with very discreetly, which was appreciated, hope to return for another tasty meal.

Had dinner for 2 in an empty restaurant and waited 55mins for an entree of 1 dim sum. Terrible service.. The waiters don't look at you for service. Little interaction and the room has NO atmosphere whatsoever! Food was good though and worth the visit as options are limiting in male.

Having read mostly very good reviews about the Sala Thai restaurant, we were not disappointed. I don't know how some reviews described the food as 'bland' - if by 'bland' they mean 'not tasty'. Our choices were far from bland - full of interesting, authentic Thai flavours. The only slight criticism was the Tom Yum soup was so spicy (hot),... More

Visiting Male City on a layover were recommended this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. We tried the Pad Thai, authentic, very nice and the Tom Yun soup, which was full of flavor and strong on the spicy side. As starters prawn cakes with plum sauce. To drink a pineapple, mint and ginger juice and the... More
