Great menu with lots of choices

Great menu with lots of choices (South India, North India, Chinese Etc..). I tried the one at Brickfields as well as in Masjid India. I liked the second one. When I ordered for Poori, the waiter has recommended the Day's special dish Pongal to me. I went for it. It was delicious along with Vada... read more

they have a few outlets in KL. the one in lebuh ampang is pure vegistarian resto. Exit from Masjid Jamik LRT Station and walk in the direstion of St Johns Cathedral. You will find the shop. they serve good quality vegietarian food. You can actually taste the rich spices and herbs. Sitting is limited and the place get packed during... More

Nice restaurant with most of north/South Indian dishes. Good taste and reasonably priced. Enough seating space. Negatives Just next to a Non veg restaurant, might get non veg food smell.

We were staying in a hotel near KL Sentral in downtown Kuala Lumpur. Indian restaurants are as plentiful as saris in Bombay. So, how to choose a good one? Well, we asked a few Indians on the street and two GLOWINGLY mentioned and recommended Saravanna Bhavan. They did caution that it was vegetarian only. Not a problem for us so... More

They failed to live up to the standards of other Indian restaurants in KL with the same pricing. Tasted like an ordinary 'mamak' or just any other indian stall by the roadside :( GOTTA DO SUMTIN'!

The thali meals provided in the hotel are not worth the money but other items are worth a try, especially those like dosa and naan.

If you are missing Chennai and if you in Brickfields KL, visit HSB. Also walkable from the KL Sentral. Try the coffee for chennai sake. Their sweets and savories are also different from the locally avaialble ones, tyr them.

This was our seventh country where Saravana Bhavan rescued us from 'meat with everything ordered' even if you make it clear you are vegetarian. The food was outstanding; freshly made and wonderfully tasty. No chicken stock for vegetarians here! If you love authentic Indian dishes this us the place in KL.

There are 6 locations of the restaurants in KL and PJ (including the one in KLCC food court). The choice of food and the taste is on par with what you get in India. The chefs and waiters are from India and that explains the good taste and service.
