Having dinner here in July 2014 with the purchase two MyDeal vouchers (RM600 value). I am very excited and having high expectation to this restaurant. Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing except the services of the jockey and waiters were good. Honestly, the environment is at ordinary level. The setting and layout of the restaurant is not up to the... More

I cannot really comment on the food as we decided to leave two minutes after we were seated. The place was full of mosquitos and the tablecloth was dirty, so we decided to run.

I have been to Rama V many times before over the years and I have never been disappointed. But today's lunch visit will be my absolute last. The food was not up to standard. And we ordered true and tried dishes. The seafood souffle had the consistency of the fish cake. The pandan chicken didnt taste right. The deep fried... More

It is indeed a nice restaurant with very nice ambience, service is good. However when it comes to food, dishes are too salty or oily. We ordered Tom Yum soup, but when it arrive our table it was lukewarm, not hot enough. Pad Thai is too wet & oily, and some other dish is too salty. But I love their... More

We had our dinner at Rama V and the food was excellent. Authentic Thai food served in a romantic ambiance. Food was very tasty and not too spicy. Portion was reasonable and service was top-notch! Will visit again if the opportunity arises.

We've visited this restaurant several times over the years and have enjoyed the food and ambiance a lot previously, hence why we go back, but last night was our last visit. For the prices charged the food quality has degraded to average to rubbish. Both me and my wife had to run to the toilet within an hour of leaving.... More

Bit out of the beaten track but worth the visit. Excellent service, superb location and atmosphere and quite authentic thai food. Don't miss the seafood dishes there

Thai food is always expensive. But the taste and quality are definitely not there. The presentations of the food were effortless. Would never return to this place again and I'm telling you it's not worth trying.

The atmosphere of Rama V is pleasant. It looks a tad shabby on the outside but the inside is nicely decorated. The menu is extensive offering even ostrich meat. We had the famous chor ladda - blue flower shaped dumplings (RM22). The filling was pleasant but the dumpling skin a tad thick. It was a bit heavy and sticky for... More

Steamed sea bass, the fish was not fresh. The stir fried vegetable was so salty as if the cook dumped half a bottle of salt in it & dessert bobo chacha was too sweet, we added half a glass of water but didn't help. I won't be coming back for sure. Oh & the toilet was filthy!
