Headed to the Bangsar outlet at Jalan Bangkung for an early Father's Day dinner. Initially wanted to dine at Leonardos but it was full for the night so J&R was the next option. Booked for a table of 7 and when we arrived, there was no one in the restaurant except us, beside the two expat families sitting outside. We... More

We recently went here for a family birthday dinner. The interior is nothing to shout about but its has cozy lighting and deco is as you would expect for a pub come restaurant. Since we were a relatively large group we could sample many items to share. In general the food is a bit of a hit and miss. Some... More

Fridays are only good because they herald the start of the weekend and JnR's POETS day buffet every Friday certainly helps. Soup, roast pork, crackling, roast potatoes, veg and a dessert served buffet style (i.e. as much as you want to eat) for a very reasonable RM32 per person.

We found this lovely little bar/restaurant in our neighborhood. Atmosphere was nice and service was wonderful. The starters were awesome. Love the grilled pork belly. Great find for a nice eat close to the house.

We went to Jalan Bangkung on the weekend. We had a voucher to use which is why we went. We had never heard of this place so we had no expectations. The service was a bit hit and miss but the food was amazing. I had a medium steak which was cooked perfectly (often over cooked in Malaysia) and my... More

If you want English food at a price and English sport on the tv, go here. A lot of expats in Bangsar hang out here

My family finds J&R food excellent. We love the sandwiches, pies and chips. The atmosphere is informal and equally welcoming to adults as well as family, even those with younger kids. Pricing can be a little on the high side to feed a whole family and service can be slow at times. Otherwise, highly recommended for those pinning for some... More

Took my parents and daughter to the Jalan Bangkung outlet to have a birthday lunch for my mother. Having heard so much about the place, I guess I expected something stupendous - and was a bit disappointed as it was just "okay". Maybe we didn't make the best choices. My father had the set lunch with fish pie as the... More

Following closure of Lorong Dungun, Damansara Heights, J&R we are now visiting the recently opened outlet at Jalan Bankung, Bangsar. A great place for a 'British Breakfast' on a Sunday with the papers & sport on the TV. Miss the open concept of the old place at D Heights & the back garden but the food is still the same... More
