The very first day i reached Malaysia, my colleagues took me to this restaurant to taste their specialized steaks. Being a steak lover it sounded heaven, at the sight of the restaurant (half of an actual ship peeking over the doorway) my expectation roared sky high.. Food menu, interior, staff, ambiance..total 4 star but food, just SATISFACTORY.. I ordered chicken... More

The Ship had very nice food and a warm, quite atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, perhaps a little too much as the plates would disappear from the table within seconds of having finished, lending a 'rushed' atmosphere to the evening. Overall a very pleasant evening.

As my father used to bring to The Ship in regularly when I was younger ( for over 40 years)and my husband has heard me talking endlessly about how good the Ship was, we decided to take my parents for a meal at the Bukit Bingtang restaurant on his recent visit to Malaysia. What a disappointment from start to finish.... More

The Ship advertises to offer the best steak in town.Well, I agree the steaks we had were very good but: the potatoes were cold, the vegetables not well cooked and worst of all : the sevice absolutely lousy. Our bread was taken away before we finished .2 waiters came during the meal and asked if I had finished my salad. The... More

Apparently this used to be the place to eat and be seen in KL. It isn't now. A tired 1970's style steakhouse menu with industrial wines and sleepy service

Great food, good service, and reasonably priced. Well worth a try. Had an excellent steak and hubby thought he'd died and gone to heaven when he tasted the oxtail soup.

They have set price lunch specials which include soup, roll, main course and fruit for dessert. Have tried all three selections and have always enjoyed my meal.

It is very rare that my wife who is a native Malaysian requests to eat western food, and particularly steak, so when she does we like to make an effort and find somewhere good to eat, or so I thought! The Ship in Bukit Bintang has apparently been around for 30+ years, and is a supposedly a constant favourite with... More

Have you ever dined inside a wooden ship? If not then it is time you visited The Ship on Jalan Bukit Bintang. The steak was fresh and cooked as we requested, at prices far cheaper than in Australia. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff knowledgeable and attentive.
