- nestled at the edge of a forest with soothing sounds of nature and fountains - no air conditioning, rather humid - elderly waiter proudly said to us they have Thai chefs cooking their "Indochinese-origin food" - no Thai dishes listed but Thai desserts were offered; however we asked if they could prepare tomyam since chefs were all Thai, and... We are in KL visiting our son and he took us to this restaurant - so pleased he did. After a 15 min taxi ride, we stepped into the entrance to the restaurant and made our way along a pathway festooned with Chinese hanging lanterns and candles on the ground lighting the way. The restaurant feels like you are in... More

Overall I think this place is really beautiful, but food and price doesn't justify the price. The price you're paying for is just for the ambience... Beautiful ambience definitely but... I mean, it's good, just not worth the price. Wine is expensive, like at least RM40 per glass... not even some hotel to begin with.... Bottle of water (just regular?... More

15 minutes drive from KLCC brings you to Tanaring Springs restaurant which is an outstanding Indochina styled restaurant in a superb setting serving Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian and Chinese food in two restaurants on two levels. Great menus. Great service and assistance with choosing the food and just a lovely real Asian restaurant and ambience. Free parking. Take major credit cards.

We stumbled across Tamarind almost by accident. I can't believe it's not better known and tables are not more sought after - however this all adds to the mystique of the place. Set amongst the rainforest which is encroaching on the restaurant it is hard to believe you are only 15 minutes from the centre of KL. The staff were... More

In my 10years living in KL, I have never waive red that Tamarind Springs is my favourite restaurant in KL. The food is IndoChina cuisine and every dish is beautiful, the restaurant is all open to the sounds of the frogs... More

Very nice decorated restaurant in a green and lush setting. Maybe not around the corner if you are staying in the city center, but if you are looking for a restaurant in a green environment, this is the one. Very nice asian food, not to big portions (which we liked) and a good cocktail and wine list. A place to... More

This restaurant have amazing ambiance, restaurant is tucked away in a jungle. At the entrance, they had lovely walkaway decorated with candles that lead to restaurant giving very romantic feeling.
