Having spent a few days with Malaysian friends and eaten at hawker stalls and street eateries with them (wonderful and very tasty), my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a "posh" dining experience at least once while in KL. As we were staying at the Villa Samadhi we decided to take advantage of their free shuttle service to... More

The Balinese type of setting has all it needs for a great outdoors dining experience. Away from the hustle of KL, this is a multi level restaurant, clung to the mountains in the midst of the last part of not yet burnt down ´jungle´ of Ampang. It is great to wander around the various terraces. The restaurant features two kitchens:... More

The owners of Villa Samadhi did it again with this wonderful restaurant serving "Indochinese" cuisine (blend of Vietnamese,Khmer and Lao cuisine) in an incredible setting at the bottom of a gully... A bit pricey ,but well worth the visit.

Taken to the Tamarind Springs by friends from KL - had a delicious meal. The restaurant is beautifully located, and has a good menu. Food served promptly, generous portions and very tasty. Had a delightful evening there.

We decided to go out for lunch on our last day in KL and this restaurant is connected to the hotel we stayed in. Great decision. As it's out of twon a little it's packed in the evening but we had it to ourselves for lunch, just brilliant. Food was delicious, river lobster in tom yum sauce, OMG. Service was... More

I thought of going for a try on a place that received good ratings and it was a good decision. On the way driving to the restaurant with the assistance of our GPS, we saw plenty of monkeys along the drive uphill. This basically started the excitement on where we are heading. Could it be somewhere in the jungle? We... More

Dined at Tamarind Springs at the end of Chinese New Year, so we were offered a "Good Luck" starter which consisted of raw salmon and a variety of other ingredients from nuts to crispy noodles tossed in a Tamarind and Peanut sauce. (See Pic). This was a very pleasant start to an excellent meal. There are so many different choices... More

Just outside of KL city, surrounded by green-nature. Beautiful place for a small gathering. Food is excellent with all types of available cuisine. Sitting arrangement is also multi-type with a bar available at the back. Lovely walk-path to the restaurant will make your experience more memorable.

We went here for a birthday dinner, having been told it had a great atmosphere. It really does feel like a different world, despite being a short drive from central KL. We ate at the restaurant upstairs rather than the Thai place downstairs. Waiters were a bit prescriptive about ordering, telling us we wouldn't be able to eat two curries.... More

This restaurant has a mixture of Asian food, such as Vietnamese, Cambodian.Everything was superb, beautifully tasty and well presented. The main courses and the desserts were sublime, really really good. It is a beautiful restaurant inside and out and only 20 mins drive from central KL. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this was... More
