A bit of home

There were ads for din tai fung on our walk to the mall. Since we craved something familiar we decided to try the Malaysian branch. It was very yummy. We polished everything off. I found it strange drinking water and tea required an extra charge. Branches in Taiwan and the U.S. Do not charge for... read more

The food quality here is consistent and lives up to the brand name in Taiwan. The staff are diligent and attentive, and they have a good system to deal with the lunch crowd on weekdays. Despite the crowd, the food was served fairly quickly and we were always attended to when we needed something. I think they have a very... More

Definitely visit this restaurant but book in advance as it is very popular. Could not fault anything.

18-01-2016. Table 32A. Around 21:00. Everything seemed fine, food was good, service was good. A few days later, when checking receipts, I noticed that they decided to tip themselves $5 USD more, on top of what we tipped. I recommend keeping and checking your receipts.

This is a great relaxed Chinese restaurant that focuses on great food without the fuss. There are no reservations but they have an efficient numbering system so it's clear when it's your turn, and the wait is usually not long as the food is served very fast. Amazing dumplings and steamed buns!

I arrived at the restaurant on my own without a reservation and was shown to my table straight away and given the menu. The menu shows you which are the signature dishes and I ordered a selection of steamed parcels and a nice cold beer to go with them. The dim sum was amazing and I wanted to be able... More

Din Tai Fung is a famous, Michelin-Star Award winning Dim Sum chain of Taiwan origin. They have several outlets all over Asia. The one in KL is conveniently located on 6th floor of the KL Pavillon Mall. Truely outstanding and creative Dim Sum with very distinctive taste. Fast and highly professional Service. Fair Prices and nice atmosphere. A clear "go"

My grandson wanted Dim Sum and had been here before. He ordered the chicken dim sum and we had had lunch so both my husband and I just had the lemongrass and lime drink. The dumplings took a little while to come but when they did they were delicious and my grandson devoured the whole lot and drank the soup... More

So cheap and such great food. Made fresh in front of you. Been back a number of times as this place is so good. Easy to find in the shopping centre.

This is my absolute favorite chain restaurant. They are usually very crowded & have a 30-45 min wait minimum. This location was awesome as they were in the mall with no wait. The truffle dumplings are a delight every time!!!
