If there is any restaurant worth reviewing in Kuala Lumpur, this is it!! We have always reserved this place for our special ocassions and it has never ever disappointed us. Dont let the dated ambience fool you, the dishes that the chef prepare with great detail and love are one of the most satisfying ever. We had to pre order... More

Had the degustation menu by Chef Takashi Kimura which was superb. Enjoyed the wine served downstairs at the cigar lounge which was very cozy. The staffs are very attentive and service is very good. Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out or for celebrations.

Enjoyed the degustation menu tremendously. Even the picky eater in our group finished everything. Highly recommended for fine dinners, on par with Michelin starred restaurants in the world. Wines are reasonably priced too.

Cilantro is an anomaly - Last century elegance all beige and tranquil banquet seating good food and wine list also professional service all delivered in a hushed atmosphere were well healed patrons must have loved this form of dining - Cilantro provides old world concepts very well. Food has a french accent with Chef Takashi Kimura morphing Chef Tatsaya who... More

The ambience of this restaurant is not too pleasing, the decoration is dated, not a place that you would expect to get fine dining. I went there based on some good reviews. The food is excellent, I like their angle hair pasta, their truffle flavour butter. Their menu is limited, but is a place worth revisiting.

We visited Cilantro on a recent trip to KL and we were completely blown away by the degustation menu - wow! We would go as far as to say - in the top three we have done in our travels. Every course was executed to extremely high standards and the flavour combinations just sensational - French Japanese fusion - who... More

Small menu - but excellent quality of ingredients. Modern french cooking and an impressive wine list. Go early, before your dinner, and enjoy a drink in their lounge downstairs!

On my way back to Singapore after a week travelling in MAlaysia I wanted to try again Cilantro. It is based on a hotel (or serviced apartments ???? really I don't know); so location is not the best you could expect. Ambience is also a bit too dark, and for sure not contemporary. But it was voted one of the... More

I've just returned from dinner at Cilantro and to sum it up, the first word that comes to mind is, EXQUISITE. My wife and I are visiting the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur for the first time; and since it is also our honeymoon, we have chosen to go all out with regard to the dining experience. Cilantro came highly... More

My research told me that this was one of the best places to eat in KL so off we went on our last night in the city. It was a little disconcerting pulling up in the taxi to what seemed like a 3 star hotel with a dingy lobby. We persevered and found the restaurant which was an oasis at... More
