Enjoyed the degustation menu, but abit overpriced.

We has the degustation menu, and the food spread was good. Ingredients were very fresh. The chef did a decent job attempting to fusion Japanese elements and flavours in french cuisine (and vice versa). The price was (in our opinion), abit overpriced, at rm480 per pax. The wine selection is... read more

I've been dining at Cilantro for years, and I have not once left disappointed. The food is always perfect, with top-notch ingredients, beautiful presentation, and delectable taste. My particular favorites are the cold angel hair pasta for appetizer (refreshing, flavorful) and lamb for entree (tender, juicy, rich). But no matter what you get, you can't go wrong.

went to cilantro yesterday evening, monday, and it was booked out so i would recommend making a reservation in advance. we ordered the 8 course degustation menu and waited in anticipation. when cilantro started it was the benchmark any restaurant which aspired for excellence was measured against. it still is! all items including dessert was outstanding. the service staff were... We had lunch there on a Friday, normally they only do dinners but every Friday, they do luncheon with a set menu, it's about US$50 a head including a glass of wine or bubbles. My husband, two kids and I all enjoyed every course. The menu is very innovative, the chef is French-Japanese influenced, good selection of wine and service... More

Extraordinary food and service in this centrally located gem... probly the best restaurant you'll eat in that month, if not year. Small but mighty.

Cilantro has somehow evolved into our family's "go to" restaurant for a special New Year meal. Whilst the saucing remains precise, there is a feeling that it is starting to become formulaic the quality of the ingredients is, as always beyond reproach, and the portions are skilfully managed so that one never leaves the table feeling too full, nor feeling... Cilantro is definitely worth a visit. While you could order anything on the menu and not go wrong. I went with a friend who is KL born and bred and she insisted I have the chocolate pudding with earl grey sorbet. I'm still grateful. BYO wine if possible. The wine list is pricey.

After reading some of the recent positive reviews, I decided to book the degustation dinner on New Year's Eve during our visit to Kuala Lumpur. The evening started off very well, and we were very pleased with the look and atmosphere of the restaurant. As we finished our third course of the meal, the evening began to change for the... More
