The street of Jalan Alor is heaven for food fanatics! And, one of the best food experience I had. The shrimp with salted egg is a must-try there, for MYR33 (not bad).

If you are in two minds about visiting, then go! This was a brilliant experience. At night the food restaurants bring their stalls out onto the road. The is every cuisine going that you can imagine. We ordered several dishes from one outlet and sat at the table in the streets surrounded by hundreds of other people. Despite how busy... More

This is the place to be in KL if you are a foody and you love to explore cuisines. A street in bukit bintang which comes alive in the night with scores of food stalls serving a variety of Chinese, Thai and Malay dishes on the road side. You can also find some live music performances on the street which... More

Finally found Malay food on my way home after some not so authentic experiences on a seven day visit. The surroundings were OK and the place wasn't busy which surprised me, guess it was something to do with departing flights! Was able to get a cold beer and the food we had was excellent quality and both dishes of different... More

This place is great for the atmosphere as much as the food, which is good but not great. Prices are very reasonable, although not the cheapest local food in KL, and the place is frequented by locals as well as tourists. Yes its crowded and full of hustlers but you just deal with them.I would recommend it and go back.... More

Array of different local cuisine to choose from, reasonably priced. Crowded, busy but always room with waiters with menus in hand enticing you to their food stalls. Festive atmosphere with lanterns strung crisscrossed along whole length of street. A must to experience what the locals enjoy!

We all know that this place will always be in a check list of all tourists visiting Kuala Lumpur. In all honesty, this place is overrated. All food are overpriced. It's okay for me to pay a little more than usual but of course food should be of high quality. There are other places that offer the same food with... More

My husband and I were recommended this place. We also saw advert for it at the airport so trusted it must be good. After looking at TA we decided it wasn't for us but we were told we MUST try it so we did. It is located in a very very dark and almost deserted area behind the pavilion shopping... More

It's been 5 days in waiting as we were meeting friends here for dinner! Be prepared to pay extra for this experience! From the moment you step on this street be prepared to be hassled by shop pimps taunting you for the business! Take your time as the are all pretty much the same. As it started to rain we... More

Atmosphere and setting still fabulous but have to say the prices have rocketed. We have visited KL 4 times now over 8 years and it is no longer good inexpensive street food. First night 3 people 210RM (3 beers included). They sting the tourists, we were told on our last night they have 2 prices here now and tourist price... More
