This is one of the few places I have eaten in the world where you can get authentic south India food. Most Indian food is associated with northern India. The service was very friendly and they were very accommodating to make the meal to my level of tolerance for spicy. If you are staying at one of the downtown hotels... More

My Father and I ate here in September and found the food average. In fact, we had a better meal at a mamak place in the Golden Triangle and didn't have to pay a taxi fare to get there, nor struggle to get a taxi back. The staff were lovely and the restaurant had a nice feel to it, but... More

Dear Aleerek, Thank you for your visit and your kind feedback on our service. While, the nature and the type of cuisine served at a Mamak restaurant and a South Indian Banana Left Restaurant is different, we do appreciate your comments and we do hope to serve you better on your next visit. Yes, we are not located at the... More

Last week my colleaques and I went there for lunch. All of them liked to the food. Unfortunately, when we were just about to finish our lunch, one of my colleaques found a baby cockroach crawling over his pants and a minute later another under the banana leaf. As we were about leave the restaurant we found another baby cockroach... More

The service was not really that good. I would definetley go back to that place as it is very cheap and the food is very good. I went with 4 of my family members and our bill was 89 RM which is way too cheap. Highly recommended

This place is a little basic with a simple menu, but I had a wonderful meal of mainly vegetarian dahls and curries. Price are reasonable, the location is handy - close to Bukit Bintang. And the service was fast if a little offhand at times. I will come back on my next trip to KL for sure.

We picked this due to it's position and reviews on TA for the 2nd last night of our holiday. We are both fans North Indian food of which there is a rich variety in Glasgow and wanted to try the KL version. After a taxi ride we dined in an empty restaurant. The service was friendly but the food was... More

My wife and I had a Saturday lunch at Sam's, just a few minutes south of KLCC near Jalan Peel. It was excellent. We ate downstairs South Indian, and it was a wonderful meal served on a banana leaf. We are not accustomed to eating with our hands, but we gave it a go and had fun with it. The... More
