Lovely late night hangout place in KL

If you like local street food, staying out late and Durian - you are at the right place. The food and the lively atmosphere speaks for itself. The only cons are the persistent beggars and people trying to sell random stuff. All in all a great place to hand out in the city.

A fun, vibrant street with a great selection of local food- truly an experience. It's well situated for going out afterwards as lots of bars in Bukit Bintang. Don't be afraid to eat here even if the plastic chairs and eating on a busy street looks dubious, it's all part of the fun!

I do not think any trip to Kuala Lumpur will be complete without visiting this street. The street is lined with Chinese and Thai food as well as fruit stalls. The street is backed with people in the evening while it seems empty in the morning or midday. What makes this place special is its lovely atmosphere and the fresh... More

Well situated close to Bukit Bintang and the Pavillion Mall, Jalan Alor is a mixture of culture, food and entertainment. Very crowded you will easily find a table with all these guys catching your attention on the sidewalk. It is more expensive than other StreetFood in KL but it is worth a try if you are not willing to lose... More

I love coming back to this place every now and then and I can really understand why people do. The food is good and cheap and the atmosphere is very lively. They should not allow cars on the shis street, that would take it to the next level

I loved Jalan Alor. It was crazy busy, people opening menus in your face trying to pull you into their Restuarant and beggers shaking their cups for money while you ate! It was like this the whole time we were there. The food choice was amazing with so much to try. We ended up at Sai Woo. I went overboard... More

accidentally, our hotel is located on this street. many kinds of food that are sold in this area, most of it are seafood. i didn't buy the seafood over here, because i assumed it must be overpriced. so, i only looked for snack and i found some kind of chicken fillet.. it tastes nice and not so expensive. try to... My friend brought me here. The area is definitely filled with more tourist, almost 80% is tourist I would say. But to my surprise, the food was surprisingly good. This is mostly hawker area, so I was again surprised to see the price. It is definitely overpriced. But, since this is a tourist area, maybe the price is more expensive.... More

If you want to try different types of Chinese, Thai, Malay dishes, you can go to eat on Jalan Alor. You have plenty of options. It's not the most beautiful location, but it's picturesque, it's cheap and it's an experience. You should go in the evening when the street is very animated.

Completely chaotic so be prepared. Worth the visit if you not ever eaten on the streets. Food was average. The key is remember this place serves you Chinese or Thai food, it DOES NOT do MALAY food like rendang or nasi goreng. If you looking for Chinese or Thai food and the entire experience then it is very good. We... More
