Hawker food

Completely chaotic so be prepared. Worth the visit if you not ever eaten on the streets. Food was average. The key is remember this place serves you Chinese or Thai food, it DOES NOT do MALAY food like rendang or nasi goreng. If you looking for Chinese or Thai food and the entire experience then it... read more

You are spoiled for choice at Jalan Alor hawker centre and the standard of food and cleanliness is consistently good, though it is a little overpriced. I have eaten here my times and have always enjoyed the food and the lively atmosphere. Last night we chose to eat at Wong Ah Wa (just opposite the Nova hotel) and thoroughly enjoyed... More

A good place to try lots of Malaysian food. Its quick, cheap and a vibrant atmosphere. There are beggars and people trying to sell you things. Just be insistent that you aren't interested and avoid eye contact. They get the message quickly and move on. My husband had the best ever oyster omelette recently. Other tasty choices were CKT noodles,... More

Jalan Alor is a bustling busy street, predominantly with Chinese food, including fried rice, noodles, seafood, lok lok (which is steamboat eaten while standing next to the stall), etc. There are also a few Malay food stalls. You are pretty much spoilt for options on what to stuff your face with. :) Be careful of pickpockets because of the crowd... More

However there is one thing that you should be aware is the food stall that sell various satay like suki. There's a lot vendor that sell suki satay, but be aware the one that located near the... More

I really enjoyed comming here for dinner. My only problem was choosing a restaurant from all the delicious smells hitting me from all directions. You can choose from alot of Chinese places, thai places and vietnamese places but there is not alot of traditional malysian food served there. Prices are OK for most dishes but portions can be quite small.... More

Had arranged dinner meet up with some relatives in Indonesia that happen to be visiting Kuala Lumpur at the same time as we. Intend to go out for dinner and revisit the famous Jalan Alor street food alley. Took a short stroll from Pavilion Mall Bukit Bintang passing all the busy shops and eatery along our way toward Jalan Alor... More

There are plenty of foods choices at the street with showing most of the Malaysian foods, unfortunately it is mainly prepare, cook and serve but non local. The price is also pretty high compare to other local foods court. If you are staying nearby, this would be you only choice. But definitely, there are more better than this one.
