Very yummy food at a decent price. A little cafe that took us a bit of tracking down to find but well worth the walk. The food was reasonably priced and it was delicious. This is a small cafe, therefore groups would be advised to make reservations in advance.

Just off the end of Petaling Street, this cafe is definitely worth seeking out. Sitting in vintage surroundings and retro decor, we had a great lunch here. With a well priced and clearly explained menu, the service was great and food very tasty. Try the Pie-Tee to start and the Nyonya Laksa with yellow noodles - both really delicious. This... More

Walking towards Chinatown down Jalan Petaling, a turn to the left takes you on to Jalan Balai Polis. Walk just a little down Jalan Balai Polis and to your left is the Gurudwara Sahib Police Station. A traditional shophouse opposite Gurudwara Sahib Police Station is home to the Old China Cafe. Behind brown bamboo chick blinds and wild west saloon... More

Wanted some real local food and found it here. Everything fresh (we arrived at 8.30pm and some starters were already finished) and really, really tasty. Service was excellent and extremely friendly. The setting (once you got in off the street) was very pleasant as well. Best food we had in KL - anywhere that serves spicy fried anchovies for starters... More

Old China Cafe is a good place to rest after traipsing around China Town or Merdeka Square - within easy walking distance. The decor is nicely olde worlde without being kitsch. The service we received was friendly and attentive. The food is good and the kitchen is very happy to adjust the seasoning to more or less spicy if required.... More

We visited here after a morning in China Town. Been here before - so no problem finding it. Arrived just before 12 and were seated at a nice table by a friendly waiter. Food and drinks served promptly - but did not feel rushed. Agree - not super spicey - but fine for a nice lunch. Will definitely visit again.

Very good service. Have been twice, and will go again to take visitors. Some tasty food, and delicious desserts! Very quaint restaurant - unusual in KL - so a little gem.

Based on some of the other reviews here, we almost didn't go to this restaurant but I'm glad we did. The furniture, decor, background (WW1-era?) music and the general ambiance are unique and worth enjoying regardless of any other qualities. The food is actually fantastic and the service, while not perfect, is totally fine. If you expect to be doted... More

Went for a late lunch here. Agree with other reviews that the ambiance was nice but the food and service were both lacking. I was surprised at the lack of proper welcome and seating upon arrival- almost as if we were an inconvenience- considering this is a "tourist" restaurant (no locals were dining when we were there). The young man... More
