... the food was not bad and the service was careful, too. We had Kari Captain Chicken and Black Pepper Beef as mains and we were satisfied with it. The bill is a pleasant surprise, too as it was just over 100 RM with beers.

Being a local, I would say you do not go to the old china cafe for amazing food. HOWEVER, you won't find anywhere else with a look and a feel as authentic and organic as the old china cafe. There is also a secret tea room upstairs which you should try to visit, however you have to call first to... More

The interior of this place is just perfect, a well preserved piece of old chinatown, a little ramshackle, dimly lit, buzzing with people but not too hectic. Best of all, they play old 1920s/30s style Chinese music, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. Despite the name, the menu is Malay rather than Chinese. The customers were a... More

This restaurant was recommended by our guide and a good choice. The name of the restaurant was misleading as having travelled through China we found the food more Malaysian and spicy than Chinese and simply delicious. We had a set menu which included Top Hats and blue rice. It was a friendly, buzzing but relaxed atmosphere and great service.

The food is nice. 7/10 I would give. The atmosphere is so nice and it brings you back to the ancient times. Brought my Australian clients there and they love the place and also food!

Delicious food in a beautiful old shophouse. A real step back in time and respite from dirty, noisy Chinatown. I hope it survives all the development happening around it!

I was visited this cafe last night , I ordered a coconut juice but found the coconut juice is spoilt. I had feedback to the staff, they exchange another coconut to me. unfortunately, I was diarrhea for whole midnight, guess the coconuts all in the fridge are not fresh. Banned this restaurant!!! Although their atmosphere feel good, but the FOOD... More

Quaint and cosy place with excellent food and cold beer. Lots of variety and good options for vegetarians. Definitely a winner.

Feeding 5 tends to come with a high price tag but Old China Cafe not only ticked all the boxes on the food front, but also on price. The cafe is small and decorated in a vintage style. It's out of the way of the Chinese Market but easy to get to by foot. The food was really tasty and... More
