This is a lovely historic restaurant in Chinatown. We had been searching for our favourite dish (beef rendang) and were fortunate to find this place, the rendang was delicious! Yes, you can get really good street food nearby but this is a charming place to eat. Our mains were 23 ringgits but a 10% service charge and government tax 6%... More

Set in an old shoplot, Old China Cafe has been furnished and decorated to take you back to the old Peranakan days when the marriage between local Malays and visiting Chinese traders resulted in a unique lifestyle intermingling the 2 customs. The food that resulted was a delicious combination of these 2 cuisines. We were disappointed with the service from... More

Visited the place after a walk around china town and Petaling street. Was a little but tricky to find, and was worried about the neighbourhood, but its pretty safe. Its a small restaurant, but the decor is fantastic, really has a unique homely mom and pop store type of feel. Service was good and the our waiter was kind enough... More

Good old Malaysian (Peranakan) food. We love what they did to the place. So far no disappointment from our many visits there. Have dessert first to ensure your tummy a space for the must try Sago Gula Melaka.

Cute little place. Not exactly stunning but it’s a gem in the area that is definitely lacking style and character. The food is really nice! The staff is a bit indifferent and quite abrupt but I put it down to a cultural difference and was happy. Reasonably priced, too. Worth a visit. We went for lunch and it was quiet.... More

Shadows of a bye gone era. A lovely little spot just on the outskirts of China Town. Wonderful old decor and photos from the past. Food is good, not a huge menu, service is fast and all in all good VFM. It can get busy.... Dont leave KL without atleast 1 visit.

Good atmosphere. Unfortunatelly very crowdy. They re using a lot coconut in their dishes. But everything we tried was nice. Waiters were very kind!

Visited this great lunch spot after some shopping on Petaling Street. The Ud Pur tea is outstanding and a great caffeine pick me up. We ordered a variety of dishes, and would recommend the Nasi Lemak and pork ribs. The service was prompt and we left very happy. We make a point of coming here every time we visit KL.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a great little restaurant for dinner, something away from Chinatown for the night. Really it's only round the corner, it's not far outside Chinatown if at all. This is one the best little restaurants I have ever stumbled across! You walk into a cosy yet comfortable size room, to walls of photos and... More

When i came in to the cafe, i felt like time traveling to 70s. Not that im from that era hehe. Its like in the movies. Ambience is really nice. Food good as well. Price mid range but ok since its a specialty cuisine. Good destination while walking in Petaling street as the place is really on the other far... More
