Excellent Indian Vegetarian Food

This place is close to KL Sentral but a little hard to find. The trip there was fully worth it. The buffet was the best we had in KL. The staff were also very friendly.

My title sums it up. Very expensive for what you get....18rm per person for lunch for overrated food. Aircon was basically non existent. I have better food at home. The dhal, however, was very good. Everything else was not bad, just average. I expect excellence for 18rm for a vegetarian lunch.....I got average.

There is a small restaurant in the basement of the temple which serves buffet vegeterain food. Take what you want and pay what you wish. A portion of the amount as known by me goes for the well-being of poor families. Very nice initiative.

the location is a little difficult to find and a bit out of the way. But the food, ambiance and experience compensate for it. Very good veg food.

It opens every day except Mondays, and its banana-leaf-rice-style buffet is available for lunch daily as well as for dinner Friday through Sunday. It’s a sumptuous spread of 10 to 16 dishes, including a dessert section. Popular ones include gobi matar (cauliflower and pea curry), masoor dal (red lentil stew), jeera pulao (cumin rice), bindi masala (okra masala), as well... More

I've been here a few times. My friends and I enjoy the food. Good variety, very tasty, good service and clean. But my visit yesterday really put me off this place. The buffet meal comes with a choice of chapati or puri. I took the chapati. But after finishing my rice and side dishes I was too full to eat... More

Well balanced dishes. I especially liked the Daal. Everything is well balanced. Choice of white or pulao rice and there are about 6-8 hot dishes also coconut chutney, yogurt, papadums and salad. Very hospitable volunteers. Total cost was 18 ringgit for the lunch buffet. I highly recommend.

Nice vegetarian food. It's got a branch in Penang. However, there's a setback. They don't have a donation box for people to donate money; people are expected to donate at the counter where it is not confidential which makes one very uncomfortable donating. One staff even deliberately placed the donation board on my table where she did not put it... More

I went to Annalakshmi on the basis of reviews here. I don't write many reviews, but feel I have to write one here. The food was very good and on that basis I would have given them a very good review. The waiter saw that I was new to the place and took the time to explain all about the... More
