My husband and I go to the Sri Hartamas Pelita. The first time was hard as we cannot speak Malay and no-one seemed to speak English. We just pointed to stuff in the cabinet and tried it...after a few visits we found what we like the most - Very spicy honey soy chicken and garlic naan. The garlic naan is... More

Loved it. Tasty and cheap food. A great selection with plenty of flavour. It's not fine dining but that's part of the charm. Will definitely be back.

My friends and I visited this restaurant as recommended by the hotel concierge. She told us that our trip to KL wont be complete we did not dine at Pelita's. Since its just a few minutes away from our hotel and we wanted to try something local, we happily obliged. The restaurant was busy since its a weekend. Its brunch... More

Formal name on sign = Pelita nasi kandar. This place was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and was just down the street, but we were not impressed. We had chicken tikka masala and chicken tandoori at this hawker place. The tandoori was quite good but the chicken in the tikka masala was much drier. Portions were modest but... More

This place isn't as good as it's used to be now that's it's franchised. Their nasi kandar is blah! They have good ambience and clean and they provide decent service. But it's not worth spending that much.

Been here a few times, and everything is less than any other Mamak place where I have been. Simple dishes as Nasi Goreng Kampung are to much to ask. The roti is nothing special and the curries that comes with it are not good either. All the drinks are way to sweet and if you ask for less sweet your... More

The place is just nearby Petronas Tower and was really close to our Hotel Intercontinental KL. I decided to leave the expensive Hotel Breakfast and try the cheap testy and local one at Pelita a 24 hours restaurant very popular. Roti Canai was made in front of me and i was so fresh and delicious like the lentil curry and... More

I'm not sure about authentic Malay food that we were looking for, but we felt it was more Indian (unless Malay food is primarily of Indian descent contrary to what I searched online). The place was dirty, there was no organization in placing of orders and paying. The food all looked and tasted the same. Only one (amongst 20+) servers... More

We used to have our nasi kandar here in Pelita KL, but nowadays these place serve average nasi kandar in a very high price. You can get something similar or better other places. If you are dining, check on the price for the seafood first. You may think it is cheap because its a normal restaurant, but honestly it can... More

As an avid nasi kandar lover, I used patronise the pelita outlets in KL because you can get almost the same taste and quality around, at anytime of the day. However my last few visits have seen them being up or down. Flavors of the curries have been inconsistent, while made-to-order items are also suffering from this volatile taste differences.... More
