Good delicious Japanese food though a bit pricey. Service was also good then. Unfortunately, the outlet in Equatorial Hotel no longer exist as the hotel building has been completely demolished and being rebuilt.

Booked this restaurant after being told it was one of the best and newest Japanese establishments in town. What we experienced however was utterly disappointing.
Service was slow and haphazard. The waiters/waitresses were pretty much running around like headless chickens. Our table of six was only given four sets of cutlery/napkins. We had to ask them for the other two,...

Do not be fooled by the impressive facade. The thrill ends there. What was meant to be an exciting evening, all set to enjoy the delights of their Omakase offering for the entire family was met with utter disappointment.
The Omakase itself was uninspiring, downright lazy with the basic sushi and grilled dishes which were simply not worthy to be...

The poorest restaurant I've ever been into in my life. There was nothing special about the food. The waiters were not that attentive. To all who are looking for japanese food I suggest finding another japanese restaurant!
Went there last December with family. They service was good, the food was good, but it's pretty expensive compared to what I can get at the shopping malls. Taste wise, honestly I couldn't really differentiate with other more commercial Japanese restaurants.
Social dinner for two was like being in an illuminated goldfish bowl - industrial standard lighting and wall to ceiling windows meant no privacy and little ambience.
Food was generally excellent, sashimi and teppanyaki beef outstanding, mixed tempura somewhat average.
Upper quartile pricing - $200 for 2 with limited drinks.
Handy if you are in the location but I would not...

I'm a Japanese food lover and Kampachi has been my # 1 choice in KL for a few years. I discovered the place thanks to a local friend who took me there since he had known the owners for a long time. In fact it was a great experience in terms of freshness of the ingredients and sophisticated ambiance. It's...

For the price you pay, one would expect a high class fine dining with authentic jap spread to select...love their fresh ala carte and their california hand rolls..plus their fried garlic over fried rice..just exquisite!!! cant get this fried garlic elsewhere in other jap restaurant. oh...love it when it's sakura season..my girl loves the sakura ice-cream!!!
Really love the food they provide, fresh and taste good. Even abit pricey, but now they come with a set lunch, it more vulable and afforable. And the servise really good and polite. Worth to visit again and again.
