Great Food!

Top notch service, fast and accurate, but service can be warmer if the staff carry a friendlier attitude. A very quiet restaurant with an interesting Shanghainese cuisine. Staff are attentive and food is good.

“Xiao Long Pao” the famous Shanghai soupy dumpling is the signature dish, it’s a must order! Thinly delicate wrapped with scrumptious meat in hot and rich broth. Dip in the good quality of black vinegar with a julienne of ginger. Best combination ever! It was served out from a bamboo steamer. The staffs served by taking out each of them... More

Wife and I had lunch here while staying at the JW Marriott. It was the highlight of our stay. The ambiance was very good. At first glance one expected the Shanghai to be expensive but surprisingly it was very reasonable. The cuisine is Shanghainese and if you haven't had that before you cannot imagine what delights you have missed! The... More

Had my lunch at Shanghai restaurant while waiting for my room to be ready for checkin at JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur The restaurant serves excellent authentic Shanghai cuisine and the price is also reasonable! Brilliant food. Awesome staff. Delightful surprise. I think the staff must have overheard / observed our family conversation that we were there for our parents' 33rd wedding anniversary. They surprised my us especially my mom and dad with a beautiful dessert dish with the number 33 decorated on it. How thoughtful! Thank you! We will come back for our annual... More

I haven't been to this restaurant because I haven't been able to. They don't have a telephone number, email address or booking form. The only way to reach them is through the hotel reception. Then someone transfers your call and you end up speaking to someone who can't understand English yet they want to know your name, address, telephone number,... More

By local standards, it's not cheap, but what the heck? lash out and enjoy. The staff members are very knowledgeable and attentive without being obtrusive. The food is sublime -so be adventurous - and if you aren't sure, be guided by the staff.
