Good simple Japanese

Good Japanese food. If you know the manager, you can find out whether the fish has just arrived and can get a good cut of sashimi. However there is bound to be inconsistencies as they have no control over the large quantities of ingredients that comes in.

after 8 yrs since last rakuzen tasting (plaza damas), I was having a bit of high expectations. Rakuzen today is too commercialise feel. Gone are those days when the Japanese chef himself lead the greetings. Staffs are still lack of training (friday) to handle large and busy crowds. Food quality can be improved. Food portions must be careful. For example,... More

Kindly do something about your quality control. Your sushi chef cuts tiny slivers of fish and passes it off as a piece of sashimi. I have never seen sashimi cut in such a manner before. We have complained to the outlet many times but nothing is done about it.

Rakuzen DPC's sushi counter was showing water stains and dirty counter/display joints from water condensation outside of the refrigerated sushi display. There were ants crawling on the counter and insects flying around. The water condensation inside the sushi display rung alarm bells to food hygiene standards especially when raw fish were involved. In addition a couple of the sushi &... More

We wanted a private room for 10. The room was comfortable, spacious and the food was adequately portioned. Good value for informal gatherings

Been here a few times. Food is consistently good. Had the rainbow rolls, some Cali rolls, eel, tofu- all really good. Excellent choice of deserts too. Highly recommended!

had dinner here tonight but what makes a patron more pissed off is non available items on the menu. If the server actually told us what was available and not available on the menu it would have been a good night. We tried to order some of the rolls they have but they say they are out of avocado. ok... More
