Longest queue Ramen house in Dotonburi

Chasyu Ramen in a classic Ramen place. It has tables and chairs for around 2-4 people. But honestly sitting comfortably it should be around 1-2 people only per table. This is not a first class sit down restaurant but a good street food restaurant. The attendants are all bilingual - they can... read more

we have had a lot of ramen having lived in a city that has a lot of ramen chains and this is by far the worst we've had. The Kinryuu stores all have this stinky wrench and it's so unbearable. The noodles are too thin and the broth is not thick enough. It's a self-serve restaurant but the price tag... More

I love kimchi and garlic. Kinryuramen is the best of both japanese & korean styled ramen. You order through the machine; either the usual or with extra chasu. You take off your shoes and sit at the tatami benches. When your order is ready, add garlic, kimchi and chilli chives as much as you want and then slurp your ramen.... More

Been going here for over 7 years. As my understanding of ramen has heightened over the years, I must say that there is nothing special about Kinryuu's tonkotsu ramen, but it's still good. It's a great place to just pop in and out. 10 minutes and you're full and already paid. It is a classic joint in the Namba area.... More

I don't think it's anything special, but it's good. It's a good bang for your buck. I've had better ramen at many other places around Japan, but Kinryuu is good for a quick bite. Get in and get out. And well, it is Kinryuu, I suppose everybody has to try it. Mind as well just go for it.

One of the nice ramen restaurant I had in Osaka. It has quite a lot of branches around Osaka area, Namba area itself has at least 2. Their ramen are pretty tasty, with some additional spices available at the counter which you can add to the the flavour of the ramen. Its ordered using a vending machine outside the store,... More

Since we were in Osaka, we just had to try this very popular ramen place. They have several branches in Osaka. There are two in the Namba area, one were you just stand and another where there is a place to sit but you have to remove your shoes and squat(Dotonbori). You have to get your order from a vending... Kinryu ramen (金龙拉面 - means Golden Dragon Ramen) is the first meal I had in Osaka. They have many branches in Namba shopping area. You will see dragon head protruding on top of their shops especially in Dotonbori. The one I visited only has a simple green dragon painting above the shop. Can't remember whether it is in Sennichimae or... More

Kinryu serves a very simple ramen. It's not your typical tonkotsu or shoyu but a light broth. We still really enjoyed it because we shared it together at 10:30pm after 2hours of shopping along shinsaibashi suji. It was also the start of winter which is perfect ramen weather. I liked that they didn't provide spoons so you had to pick up... More
