Yummmm!!!

We found this restaurant in Dontonbori on our first night in Osaka (after almost 3 weeks travelling Japan). This restaurant serves Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba. We waited a few minutes to be seated at this restaurant and there quickly grew a waiting line outside - it seems very popular. I had the... read more

I had the seafood Okonomiyaki, which was perfect. My Partner had one... We were really lucky with this restaurant. There were two people waiting to be seated just before us and literally a minute after we were seated there was a large queue forming. If we'd arrived later it would still have been worth the wait! We scored a seat at the grill where the chefs skillfully assemble and cook the Okonomiyaki... More

Im normally not a fan of Okonomoyaki but this one is good. I dont avoid it, I normally think there are other better foods. Since its a specialty of Osaka, I thought i had to eat here and I wasn't disappointed. It really busy so be prepared to wait in line.

Our first taste of Japanese Okonomiyaki (pancake/omelette) we were greeted the Happy Osaka way and seated at a teppanyaki style table - we were served our food on a heated metal tray in front of our table, between us and the chef's grill. It was cool to be able to sit and watch him do his thing. The Okonomiyaki was... More

We found this restaurant by chance and decided to join the long queue to see what everyone was waiting for. We were not disappointed ! Great Onomiyaka ! Our first experience of this dish. Beautifully cooked using fresh ingredients.Served nice and hot and was very tasty. You could watch them preparing and cooking the food as it was an open... More

There're so many places to have better Okonomiyaki and Chibo didn't live up to its name. Watching the chef preparing food was interesting and the food was 'not bad'

We were there ytday going to have dinner. Went in and filed up our name on waiting list and realised those after us got a place to sit but not us. The waitress had cut off our name without calling. Guess she can't pronounce. Next, there is no non smoking area. ..super not suitable for guests with family and can't... More

We were referred here by a store we were at in search for dishes famous in Osaka. We were able to find it. In the US, I have not seen this presented this way artistically. The place specializes in Onomiyaki. It's like half pancake and half omelette. We chose seafood in it. They prepare it at the front counter and... More

The tastes were not quite pleasant. We ordered 2 Okonomiyaki and Buta-kimchi. To be honest, I've had far way better Okonomiyaki and the Buta-kimchi was too salty and oily. The services and the management were impressive, though. We didn't make a reservation but we didn't have to wait for too long, despite that long queue we lined up. Staffs are... More

I must say I agree with the negative reviews. The place has made a name for itself and seems to be cashing in on that now: everything is overpriced, atmosphere is not nice and not authentic, food quality is barely okay. I would look for another one...
