so good

So my husband really wanted to try this and I was very skeptical because it looked strange and heavy on the sauce. However, it was so good! We got the lunch for two and we received yakisoba noodles, the dotonbori okonomiyaki, a salad, and an omelet wrapped pork. We ate every bit of it. The menu... read more

We were there in the evening for supper. We had seat by the window, so we could see the river (channel) through the window. We ordered okonomiyaki and waited more than 30 minutes. Okonomiyaki was servered and we could find much egg amounts than seafoods. It was on saturday evening, almost of guests were japanese. Smoking is not prohibited in... More

Stumbled across this place looking for food in dotonbiri. Very happy with our find. There was a queue inside, always a good sign, although we didn't have to wait very long before being taken up the elevator and seated. There were several different options to choose from as well as some starters. Everything is cooked right in front of you... More

Based on recommendations from Bento.com we ate here. It was a fun experience but we probably ordered the wrong dish as I would have preferred a dish with no soba.

We dined here as a tour group and enjoyed it. Not sure of the prices as our dinner was part of the tour. There were queues outside the door when we got there, which is a sign that the food is good. Fortunately we had reserved tables. We loved the open kitchen feel, and the BBQ plate in the middle... More

We spotted a line in front of this place at around 1am(?) after loading up on yamazaki, schochu and sake, and decided to try some okonomiyaki before heading back to our hotel. The stuff was not at all bad, it was hot and tasty. The only downside is that the strong smell of okonomiayaki being cooked on the griddle tends... More

There are lots of other okonomiyaki places around , this one is just on a very central area . Not bad at all but very pricey for it

We had a great meal at Chibo in the Shinsaibashi-suji area of Osaka near the Namba subway station. We enjoyed the Okonomiyaki or savory pancake cooked on the griddle in the centre of the table. The portions were a very large pancake or there was an interesting noodle dish. It would be nicer if there was no smoking allowed in... More

My friends and I ate our first dinner in Osaka at Chibo. The okonomiyaki was delicious and the sirloin steak was tender. However the servings was little and the service took some time. Worse of all, diners were allowed to smoke inside the restaurant. The only thing we liked about the restaurant is its proximity to many stores which were... More

The batter and filling at Mizuno down the street is tastier in terms of okonomiyaki and costs less. The line here is much shorter though. It's good but nearby another is better!
