While walking around the outdoor mall, I noticed a long line at this bakery and the smell alone was just unbelievable...Then I noticed a sign for a cheesecake for just around 6 bucks. I stood in line for about 15 minutes thinking it was just for a slice but it was for the whole cake. Delicious. Very different from what... More

So soft that it literally melts in our mouth, the fluffy cheesecake at this Nanba institution (look for the "Coffee Sanbashi" sign) is perfect for us but not for Americans used to heavier texture. After orderly queueing for 10 minutes (never mind the rude staff), we bought two boxes and yes they are outrageously good and not way too sweet.... More

Read reviews about this place and made sure to get it when we were at Daimaru Umeda. We lined up for about 20mins for the freshly baked cheesecake, which cost 648yen. Texture is soft and fluffy, and love the raisins on the cake base. Ended up visiting the Ebisubashi store to get another one before flying back home!

I bought a Rikuro's cheesecake 2 years ago when they had a kiosk at Daimaru Kyoto. It was soooo good that I deliberately made a trip to the department store just to get the cake, only to find out that Rikuro's is not there permanently, but only there for 2-3 months every year for promotional purposes. I was disappointed, and... More

(If you're American that is) But nonetheless, light and airy, with a little sweetness... It's superb! (Even moreso since they give you a huge cake for $6) My boyfriend and I both bought a whole cake went to the little upstairs cafe where our server was a nice older lady and the vibe was definitely more "tea time" with all... The shop is famous for its cheesecake. When we were there, it was a long queue at the red side. There are 2 queue, one is red and another is blue. The red is for cheesecake just out from oven, fresh. We bought a cheesecake, very yummy. Just cost 650 yen. Worth to buy and try. If you want to... More

The 'Cheesecake' is really good and cheap (only 588 Yen) but don't expect a rich cheese flavour- its more like a souffle with raisins. There are 2 queues in the store (one with a red and one with a blue sign) - there are hardly any queues in the blue sign as they are not 'freshly-made', they were made 2-3... More

When we saw a long line here, we knew we had to join it. We drooled over the sights in the windows. So professional as they prepared the cheesecakes. We bought a warm one and enjoyed every bite of the flaky crusted divine cheesecake. This is a Must when in Osaka!

This is the first time I've seen cheesecake baked and sold on the spot. It's so fresh! The cheesecake taste yummy, light and fluffy. The pudding (caramel) is also very nice. Definitely freshly made judging from the pudding texture. The cheesecake and pudding is worth a try especially if you are nearby Takashimaya Mall, Osaka.
