No time to queue?

If you have no time to queue and do not want to spend ridiculous amount of money, have no fear! The roadside store will help you! The crab tasted decent, nothing spectacular unlike its giant crab banner. They cook it up for you in various ways, from raw sashimi style to tempura style. But it was just okay. Not worth the price or the wait tbh.

Basically everyone goes to this restaurant. So you need to arrive early and get a reservation ticket first. We ordered the two more expensive sets. My girl is a crab lover and she was super satisfied. There are all kinds of crab included in the set. From sashimi to boiled to grilled to shabu-shabu. But I find the rice congee... More

Yes. It is all about crab. This restaurant cook live crab in all kind of styles- sashimi, tempura , grilled , boiled & chilled and you named it. It is a popular place and two long hours of waiting time is a norm here during peak hours. The interior deco is in Japanese style with service attendants in kimono. Excellent... More

It's pretty hard to miss. The big mechanical crab next to the bridge and Glico man in Dotonburi. You can't make bookings over the phone. Go to the store and there will be a receptionist at the front and book in for a time slot with her/him. It gets really busy with wait times up to two hours later at... More

So i visited this restaurant on a Friday night. Naturally there was a waiting list, with over an hour wait. I tell you now, put your name down on the list and go wander off to Shinsaibashi or something, because this place is definitely worth the wait. As soon as you go up the lift, you're greeted by one of... More

Just adjacent to the Donburi area, a whole-crab dinner serving a 9 crab dishes prepared in different ways. We have chosen hot pot so it becomes the main dish, while the sashimi was very fresh and nice! I always think the best of all is the final congee served with the hot pot soup and rice, absorbed all the essence... More

They claim outside that it's kaiseki. It's well executed and I have no complaints but the quality I would never describe as kaiseki. It's pricey but I'd say that the materials were the major part. It was all crab - boiled, sashimi, grilled, sushi, savoury custard, tempura, soup but it was served with such rapidity that the hot dishes got... More

One of the top mission during our recent visit to Osaka was to have a taste of famous crab at the Kani Douraku restaurant. We were not disappointed. The place exceeded our expectations! When we reached the place to make a reservation, waiting time for a table was 2 hours. We decided to walk around the Dotonbori street during the... More
