Cheap conveyor belt sushi

Going by other trip advisor recommendations, we thought we'd give this a try. It did not disappoint in both the variety of sushi, as well as the cost $137 Yen for 2 pieces.... you can't get that anywhere in the US! True the pieces aren't huge and you could get better quality pieces, but for this... read more

I saw the good reviews on trip advisor and choose to get sushi dinner from this place my first night in town. I was not disappointed! A large variety of sushi circles around on a conveyor belt and you choose what you want to eat. Each plate is really reasonably priced (137 Y). I didn't realize it at the time,... More

I ate here maybe 2 times / week and I thinks its really good sushi at a fair price. This place is more of a "lunch" sushi place than "fancy dinner". Highly recommended for travellers!

I ate here on three occasion while staying in Kyoto and absolutely loved the fresh quality and excellent value for money. Plates were just 137yen and beers about 550yen. Great value. The quality of the sushi and sashimi was excellent.

Let me upfront say that this is not a michelin star type 5-star rating that I'm giving. I'm guessing this is more a mcdonalds type sushi eatery for Japanese people. However, for someone who's never been to a place like this, it's just a joy to find, try, and have lunch at. And price is great. Basically, there are a... More

Great sushi with a huge amount of variety! Twice in 2 days and may get a pack lunch for the train to Tokyo as well. It's in the Atsy rd complex on the back side of Kyoto terminal opposite McDonald's. gets very busy and we had to queue for 30 min but def worth it.

We went to this place twice on a recent 3-day trip to Kyoto because the first time was so good that we had to go again. Its a conveyor belt-style sushi restaurant so you help yourself to whatever happens to be sliding past you, and every dish is 137 yen (unless it says otherwise - more expensive dishes are very... Great Sushi! every plate cost 137yen and that is a very good deal in my opinion! Big variety and the ones we ate were all delicious, even the roasted duck as a sushi. It looks a little tacky from the outside maybe, but the quality for that price is an excellent deal. Nice ambience and a convenient location on Kyoto's... More

i'm not exactly a sushi connoisseur, but this has been easily the best sushi i've ever had. the salmon and tuna nigiri really did melt in my mouth (i never really knew what that meant with sushi until i ate here). and everything else i had was amazing in its own way. and it was all rather cheap (not a... All sushi restaurants with conveyor belt are fun for the "gajin", but this shows an excellent quality coupled with moderate prices. Just in the center of Kyoto. At your input, as is often the custom in Japan, you are greeted with friendly cries. Very recommendable.
