I was looking forward to having tonkatsu here and since we were staying at the Granvia hotel, it was literally 5 minutes away. We arrived at 4:30 so we didn't have to wait for a table. The place was pretty full when we arrived which surprised me. We both ordered the pork loin. I believe we ordered the better of... More

This gotta be the best Tonkatsu I had in Japan! It's a long wait for seat. In fact, I randomly picked this restaurant after walking one around at The Cube. As I didn't want to solely have Tonkatsu only, I opted for the Tonkatsu with Yuba set. 1st, you have to grind the sesame seeds & they have 3 different... More

Not as good as we expected... and the service was horrible. There were 4 tables seated after us who were served before us, not sure why.

I was quite full and was reluctant to eat a big piece of katsu. But after eating it, I was craving for another piece. It made a bloated person into a hungry man. The meat is juicy and tender. The battered is crispy. Everything about Katsu is amazing. It is VERY delicious. Probably the best katsu that I have ever... More

The Tonkatsu here is very well prepared and juicy. The dipping sauce is also delicious. I especially liked the spicy sauce (although it was not spicy). The miso soup had a little kick to it as I think they added some mustard in their soup.

Had dinner here on Friday around 6.30pm, food was great overall and service was great. The restaurant isn't too big, there was about 5-6 4 seater tables, 1 big table that fits about 8 (can be shared by 2 groups of 4). Had a bit of a queue but didn't wait long (about 15mins?), food came quite quickly after you... More

Pork is ok but not really fantastic. Other side dishes are very good though. Lunch ~¥1,500 per head. Value for money and location is convenient

We were to Kyoto for 3 nights and all 3 nights we tried to eat there. First night we arrived 9:45pm it was closed, 2nd night at 7pm and the queue was like 1.5 hours wait. 3rd night at 5:30pm still had to queue up for 45 minutes. We had the standard set and I ordered an extra crispy egg.... More
