Had dinner here on Friday around 6.30pm, food was great overall and service was great. The restaurant isn't too big, there was about 5-6 4 seater tables, 1 big table that fits about 8 (can be shared by 2 groups of 4). Had a bit of a queue but didn't wait long (about 15mins?), food came quite quickly after you... More

Pork is ok but not really fantastic. Other side dishes are very good though. Lunch ~¥1,500 per head. Value for money and location is convenient

We were to Kyoto for 3 nights and all 3 nights we tried to eat there. First night we arrived 9:45pm it was closed, 2nd night at 7pm and the queue was like 1.5 hours wait. 3rd night at 5:30pm still had to queue up for 45 minutes. We had the standard set and I ordered an extra crispy egg.... More

My Thai friend who studied in Kyoto for 5 years recommended me to have Tonkatsu by Katsukura. I noted that and went to eat Tonkatsu somewhere in Singapore to compare the taste before I go to Kyoto. After arriving, my friends (4 persons) and I went to Katsukura, Kyoto station for our dinner. I asked a cute waitress which menu... More

We really liked this restaurant, where you get to make your own sauce at your table. Katsu was lovely and English menu/instructions are available.

Found the place ok thanks to reading earlier reviews. We were seated straight away but were relatively early and it was already getting busy by the time we finished. The English menu was helpful and staff were attentive and ready to explain how it all works. We both had pork but although ordered from different parts of the menu not... More

Delicious. Moist and Flavorful. Grind your own sesame seeds, select your own sauce, enjoy endless pickles and microscopically shredded cabbage. Delicious. Server brought an English menu and explained some of the restaurant's procedures.

I was so looking forward to dining here after being recommended by a friend back home but somehow ended up a bit disappointed. We initially had a bit of difficulty locating the place because they didn't have an English sign. After asking around, we eventually found it. It's located on the 11th floor along the hallway leading to the toilets... More

Be prepared to queue 15 to 30min. Yeap, it is famous among local too. We like that you get to customize the sesame sauce and unlike other outlet, dipping into this customize sauce indeed enhanced the fry pork taste. The fry prawn is fresh but the bounce sensation is kinda limited, kinda odd. All in all, it is still above average,... More
