It was a easy walk from Sannomiya Station. There were a few Moriya stores at the same area. Depending on your budget, you may go for a cafe/pub style Honten Moriya, middle class Moriya at the 3rd floor or Royal Moriya at the 2nd floor. We first went to Moriya at the 3rd floor and had really bad experience. First,... More

I'll start off by saying I live in Texas and have a monthly steak club that has, over the last 5 years, eaten at every major steakhouse in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and nothing I've had so far compares to the unbelievable quality of the A5 Kobe steak I had at Moriya. Absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend this place... More

We had a trip to Osaka and since Kobe is like just an hour away, we had to go there to taste the most authentic Kobe Beef in the world. We had our reservation through their website. They have 3 locations so make sure you choose the correct location. I also found a 5% discount coupon from their website, so... More

I have heard of the quality of Wagyu beef from Kobe but had only sampled a version being raised in the USA. The flavor, texture and marbling of the beef served and cooked to my taste at Moriya restaurants surpassed my past experiences and exceeded my expectation when we dined for lunch. Pricey? Yes, but it was worth it for... More

We were with our 9 year old son. All he wanted this trip was Kobe beef. I found this restaurant on trip advisor. It is only 10 minutes from the train station in Kobe. We had a guide make a reservation for us and we were greeted by name when we walked in. We went upstairs and sat down immediately.... More

Ordered the Kobe steak. The chef showed us the steak before cooking and help us take pictures before cooking it. He was very friendly and taught us how to eat the steak properly. Total cost was about $160-180 per person for the set Lunch course which includes a salad, a drink, dessert and the main course. Dinner would be more expensive... More

On entering the restaurant, we were politely welcomed by the staff and they continued to provide impeccable service. We sat infront of the iron hot plate and ordered the premium kobe beef sirloin and moriya beef rump lunch sets. Both were extremely delicious with either a bit of salt or the house miso sauce. The accompanying vegetables were also well... More
