As expected, the beef itself was simply excellent. Lunch came to over SGD60 per person (approximately 5700 Yen). The chef could speak a bit of English, and he used this to explain to us how to eat with the different dips offered. What I didn't like was the attitude from the waitresses who took our order. She looked semi-disgusted that... More

The restaurant came highly recommended - but what a disappointment! Guests arriving for lunch without reservations were simply brushed away! Considering they open till 10:30pm, I just fail to understand why.

Was recommended by friends. It's expensive but well worth it. Go for lunch set to save money . Walking distance from kobe station.

We went there for lunch to taste worldwide famous Kobe beef. The lunch menu at 5'000 yens pp is prepared in front of you . Our cook was nice and even spoke a few phrases of French thanks to a work experience in Paris . Our 5 years daughter was amazed and ate all of her food...unfortunately for us since... More

One thing you must know in Japan, lunch menu is always the cheapest, any day, everywhere. Yes, even in famous restaurants like Wakkoqu! Two of us ordered 3 sets to share, namely: 1) Lunch Wakkoqu Course (Tajima and Sanda Beef from Kobe) - 5,280yen (with Sirloin 150g) 2) Lunch Course (Tajima Beef from Hyogo Prefecture) - 4,280yen (with Sirloin 130g)... that day was our last day in Japan. we should try the famous wagyu kobe steak. our hotel staff in osaka suggested to take train to Kobe since kobe steak was more expensive in osaka. we took a shinkansen from shin osaka station to Kobe station. it took 15 minutes. Tourist information in the station is quite helpful even though... More

We arrived at the restaurant following trip advisor comments. It took us some time to find it as it s in a gallery little bit hiden. We arrived there at 21:00 and it was written that restaurant closed at 22:00.. They did not want to serve us, as last order was at 21:00. I m sorry but that s not... More

The beef at Wakkoqu is the best I've had in my life! The special selected tenderloin and sirloin were both silky and melt in your mouth good and are like no other steak I've had. The interior of the restaurant (the one at 1-22-13 Nakayamatedoori Chuuo-ku) has a 1950s feel to it, lots of wood and gold/brass, and only seats... More

This is by far the best beef either myself or my husband have eaten. The Chef really put on a show, the beef was melt in your mouth perfect!
