Beef that melts in your mouth

The beef at Wakkoqu is the best I've had in my life! The special selected tenderloin and sirloin were both silky and melt in your mouth good and are like no other steak I've had. The interior of the restaurant (the one at 1-22-13 Nakayamatedoori Chuuo-ku) has a 1950s feel to it, lots of wood... read more

We arrived at the restaurant following trip advisor comments. It took us some time to find it as it s in a gallery little bit hiden. We arrived there at 21:00 and it was written that restaurant closed at 22:00.. They did not want to serve us, as last order was at 21:00. I m sorry but that s not... More

If you're a foodie you have to go to Kobe to eat Kobe! The beef was so good I almost cried (yes, I love food). A very helpful chef will prepare the food in front of you and tell you how to eat it (there's different sauces and stuff). Appetizer, beef, coffee and two drinks was 10000 yen - well... More

Fantastic meat cooked by experts. The cooking itself is an event. If you are going to eat there and have the budget, go for the top of the menu. Don't turn down the garlic. Unfortunately, the meal goes by too quickly.

Make sure you book in advance - even for lunch menu. Be punctual and they very much are. Chef is very helpful and explains the full experience. A bit expensive but very much worth it if this is your visit to Kobe and want to enjoy Japanese beef. Located right next to Kobe station and not far from Crown Plaza... More

Kobe beef at its best! Tasty fatty and OMG ... well worth the trip, most people will not be happy to pay $160pp for the meal but I'd say why not? it was AMAZING! Bookings required to avoid disappointments. Ensure you get the fried rice as extra it was amazing but not included to the set menu, they make it... More

It was the day before we left Japan so we decided to splurge and go for the special selection sirloin kobe beef steak. It was pretty pricey, but it tasted sooo good! The chef cooks everything in front of you on a hot plate and he tells you how to eat and what sauces to try. As with all of... More

Only10 minutes walk from the train station to this well known steakhouse for lunch, this is a perfect way to be introduced to the marvel of fabled, marbled goodness that is Japanese beef, especially for only $A50.00. This gets you a 130 gram serve along with soup, salad and miso. From several experiences the "Kobe" method of cooking seems to... More

I visit Japan annually and always head to Kobe at least twice to visit here. By far the best Kobe beef I have head. I have visited other restaurants but not nearly the quality or service. I agree to go at lunch when the prices are cheaper but truly perfect if you want to have Kobe beef prepared properly.
