Made reservations via phone for lunch at 1245. The establishment is about a 10 minute walk from Sannomiya station. Ordered the Wakkoqu Kobe Sirloin 250g course. Usually I order my steaks medium, but just this one time I let the chef prepare everything at his recommendations. The chef brings out the steak for your viewing pleasure. Great marbling all around.... More

Their website offers online reservation, however it was not working at the time I was using it (last year). We had to call them and make a reservation. They asked for a phone number but we couldn't give one since we were tourists. I think the guy on the phone was a bit annoyed since we were not Japanese. However,... More

Ordered the Kobe beef tenderloin and sides that come with it. Pieces were put in front of you as they were done, and already with the first bite it was very clear that this was not gonna be a meal to remember. The meat was chewy which was the last thing I was expecting. The sides were extremely bland with... More

The restaurant is situated in a quaint neighborhood with a jazz club and funky eateries dotted around. Decor is decidedly old school, warm and a mostly relaxing ambience. We sat at the teppanyaki bar and opted for the 250g special sirloin set. The 1" thick steak was visually impressive, excellently marbled and was cooked with expertise by our chef, who... More

Great kobe beef restaurant. The beef is definitely one of the best i've had so far. The only reason why I deducted one star is because of it's service. The drink I asked for was never brought to me and I had to ask for it. They don't give you a napkin, so I asked for paper napkins. The waitress... More

It is one of the best meals I have eaten. We had made reservations so our placement and menu's were waiting for our arrival. We were greeted and sat. We had already decided on the 200g tenderloin and a bottle of wine. Everything was prepared and explained right in front of us. The chef timed everything perfectly as far as... More

Kobe Beef is a must for a trip to Kobe. After reading so many reviews from various blog and in Tripadvisor, Wakkoqu was the decided place that we gonna spurge on Kobe beef. Took us a while from Sannomiya station to find the place in Hillside Terrance, we wanted to come for lunch but it has just ended its lunch... More

I ate there the best beef ever. Paid around 140 $ for 220 gram of kobe tenderloin beef. The appetizer, salad, rice or bread and coffee is inclusive. It is worth the price. It was so good that I returned 2 days later to eat there again. The steak house is small, if you go there on afternoon its no... More

I wouldn't call this a steak house in the US/Australian sense, They do not serve chunky steaks, but thinly sliced Japanese bred Wagyu type beef in a Teppanyaki style. Their service was excellent, we were not dressed up as it was a cold day and had come in with polar fleece coats but they took our coats and saw us... More
