Yummy Okonomiyaki!

Pretty easy to find. Look for the photo posted here of the outside of the restaurant. I was denied entry to a higher-rated okonomiyaki restaurant, so I headed to this one, since it was only about .4 miles away. start with a crepe, add shredded cabbage, protein, secret ingredients, cook on grill, flip, add egg and other ingredients. Top with special sauce. A lot of fun, great filling meal and great staff.

Hiroshima is revered by Japanese as the best place in the country for okonomiyaki. My wife, who is Japanese (from central Honshu), was keen to try a local okonomiyaki-ya while we were in Hiroshima...and Henkutsuya proved to be a terrific choice. We perched ourselves on the counter as soon as a couple of seats became available and watched our okonomiyaki... More

Hiroshima is famous for its okonomiyaki and this restaurant doesn't disappoint. Gansu is located in the centre of the city about 3km from the train station. We were seated at the counter with a number of other locals on a busy Friday night. The menu is short and basic but the results are great. I went for the soba special... More

Popped into here by chance and had an excellent tempura shrimp, pork and egg pancake. V simply cooked with a BBQ-esque sauce on top. Friendly place with nice Sapporo on tap.

We stayed just one night at Hiroshima and wanted to eat something local and not far from our hotel. So we found this place on the website and went looking for it. Well, in Japan generally in there is not easy to find the place unless you speak and read Japanese. Finally, we found that very small but busy place... More

Without doubt, this is the best okonomiyaki ever! It does not look like a tourist trap and I can tell this restaurant is very well like by the locals. You must try when you in Hiroshima!
