Finest bakery in Hiroshima

My visit was for lunch - and it was hit and miss. I choose sweet and sour ribs from the central buffet (not the Chinese station which they also have) and the sides offered were lasagne or quiche (the miss was in the accompaniment. Who wants lasagne with sweet and sour ribs? no one as these were tougher than shoe... More

Visited here while in Hiroshima over Christmas. Beautiful, HUGE place with certainly something for everyone. There is the bakery with walk up service, several restaurants, a florist shop, and even a bakery school with windows to the street so you can watch the students at work. We bought a few pastries to take away and were very impressed with our... More

This restaurant and store is fun to walk around in even if you don't enjoy the breakfast or lunch. Great bakery items and gourmet foods.

Found this place through the rough guide and really pleased we did. Fantastic range of foods (salad, seafood, bread, cheese, Danish pastry) with enough of a Japanese option that it was authentic but enough western options to please all tastes. Would definitely recommend. Was going to eat upstairs but we couldn't quite figure out how to do it (and downstairs... More

It was nice to take a break from the japanese cuisine and SPLURGE in danish pastry. With a lot to choose from you will probably have to buy more than you normally would. They even have whole grain bread. Nice!

We were wandering through the shopping area looking for something to eat, when by chance we found this establishment. Like a food hall in a department store is is set out in areas, deli counter, bakery, boulangerie, charcuterie counter, wine etc etc. But you can grab some tongs and a tray and pick up what you want and eat it... We have eaten here on previous visits to Hiroshima and it is good to say it has only gotten better if that is possible. Makes your mouth drool when you walk through the door and see all the great bakery items . Bread, cakes, pastries etc all so inviting and all yummy. When walking along the very interesting Hondori St.... More

OK, I only had breakfast here and my review only applies to the first floor restaurant/cafe during breakfast. We arrived at around 8:45 AM on a weekend and there was already a line waiting for a table in the first floor cafe. One very annoying thing was that they already sold out of their supposedly best selling and most popular... More

A Delicatessen on the ground floor as well as a Patisserie, upstairs there is a buffet style eatery with everything from soup and sandwiches to a Chinese curry ! Good quality ingredients and tasty, well presented 'dishes'.
