Very good japanese food : sushi, sashimi, tempura, ..... The location is convenient, close to bars and all you may need to have a very nice evening in Hiroshima. Decent prices, nice staff and few tourists (english menu available but we were the only foreigners), a good experience ! If you are with Japanese friends you can book a private... More

Had a set dinner, some sushi, tempura, miso for the best value price so far. The food was also decent. Don't think you can get this good of food elsewhere for the same price.

My understanding is that the restaurant’s name is Sushi-Suishin (6-7 Tatemachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, 〒 730-0032, telephone 082-247-2331). I also understand that lunch is served from 11:20 am to 3:00 pm, and dinner from 5.00pm - 9.00pm (kitchen closes at 8.30pm). I had one of the best meals in japan at this restaurant whilst travelling in Japan for... More

This restaurant is probably the best I have been to in Hiroshima since moving here. Not for it's food or for it's convenience but for it's overall atmosphere. Renting a private room is always the best idea and to do this you will have to book up front. For families with infants which require a place to lay down and... More

We showed up, without a reservation, in the middle of a rainstorm. The waitress was gracious about our being dripping wet, but persistently condescending about our being foreigners. We had an excellent squid sashimi dish and really yummy oysters baked in crumbs with garlic butter.

The fish was the best we had in Japan till now. The unagi (real eel, not anago) was outstanding, but rated 3500 Yen. One problem is that the name of the restaurant is not written in English, there are no menus in English and no one speaks English. The people are really sympathic but it doesn't help. You choose according... More

This is the best restaurant to sample Hiroshima cuisine at reasonable prices. They specialise in oysters (seasonal), Anago (sea eel), fish/seafood and Kamameshi – Savoury rice cooked in hot metal pot. Our favourite is Ebi (Prawn) Kamameshi which is just superb! If they tell you they don’t have Ebi, tell them politely that you are a tourist and won’t stay... More

The sashimi & tempura set dinner was very good and relatively inexpensive. The a-la-carte prices for sushi were more normal; although I think the price of tuna has taken a turn upwards, generally, because of over-fishing. I was very pleased.
