We went to hassei for dinner on a Saturday night during our one night stay in Hiroshima. And we don't regret it! It is difficult to find, the trip advisor map location is actually one street off the actual location. We ended up asking a lady for directions who happily helped us. We arrived at 20:15 and were politely asked... More

We went here on our second day in hiroshima and as the first evening was terrible we were hoping for something better this time. We ordered the okonomiyaki of the house and a large portion which cost 1100 yen. There is plenty of food in that portion, so that was more than enough for both of us. I got 2... More

This place is great. Attentive service, and the okonomiyaki is delicious. The storefront isn't big so if you can't find it ask someone, the locals know it!

Hard to find but well worth the effort. Great food and a great experience. We walked right in, and were eating in 10 minutes.

Amazing food and a very friendly staff that helped us very much. We were the only foreigners at that time in the restaurant. I would definitely go back there if I'm ever in Hiroshima.

Really small but friendly Okonomiyaki place just off Peace Boulevard and close to the centre of Hiroshima. The food was great and the staff were lovely. We had a similar experience to previous reviewers in turning up and being told to come back in an hour. But I honestly think it's just because it is such a small place and... More

Having loved Mizuna in Osaka, we were recommended this restaurant in Hiroshima. There were apparent differences in organisation versus Osaka and Hiroshima. Hassei does not seem to have a reservation system thus making the process confusing as most people are given the spiel to come back in an hour! Despite it all, it was an authentic Hiroshima experience with friendly... More

This place is great, I had the okonomiyaki, really good, but what sets it apart you can get udon or Soba noodles, the other where I ate was at Okonomimuri that only had spaghetti type noodles. If you can, go to Hassei.
