One of my favourite restaurants in Japan so far

I loved this place. We tried to get in early on a Saturday night but the place was booked up until 9.30pm. We were exhausted that day so tried late on the Sunday and got in. Staff were some of the friendliest we've come across and the okonomyaki was the best we've ever had! Would highly... read more

Hiroshima is well known for its Okonomiyaki and we were told this place was one of the best. However we did have to wait a little for a table as we did not book. The place is only very small but is very popular with both tourists and locals. It was the best Okonomiyaki i have had by far and... More

We went here for the okonomiachi (omelette filled with noodles - a local speciality). It was excellent. The place is quite small (maybe 20 seats max) and so you are most likely sitting very near the teppan to watch them cook. We also had gyoza which were good and plum sake (sweet, unlike traditional sake)

This was an excellent little spot with the best okonomiyaki I've tasted, but they have plenty of other delicious fare on their menu. We couldn't stop ordering despite the fact that we were full. We tried the grilled oysters (do not miss it!), grilled shrimp, spinach with bacon and egg, and grilled cow tongue. Including two beers and a delicious... More

We came here on a Thursday night desperately seeking the hiroshima style okonomyaki and we were not disappointed! We got sat at the bar with the rest of the locals and as hot as it was i wouldn't of wanted to be anywhere else. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was stunning! If your in hiroshima and... More

We had okonomiyaki in Tokyo but it turns our that the Hiroshima version is very different and this restaurant is a great place to sample it. It's very small and busy so arrive early. The best seats are at the bar so you can see the chefs at work, but avoid the seat next to the door in winter! Portions... More

The okonomiyaki was excellent, but I must say that they do these oysters fried with butter, soy and sake and they are spectacular. I think there was 8 large oysters in the dish for 800yen. I'm going back tomorrow for them again.

From Osaka where the Okonomiyaki was born to Hiroshima, the Omonomiyaki has evolved. Instead of the flour filling, the filling is consisted of good quality soba, partially boiled and then stirfried on the table sized flat cooking surface and right before your very eyes, the different layers of the dish is created.in front of you, if you choose to sit... We went here to experience Hiroshima okonimiyaki and it was amazing. We had beef rib and praws in mayo teppanyaki and then shared an okonimiyaki - all of it was delicious and cooked right in front of us. The staff made us feel really welcome and the place had a great atmosphere. Not the most obvious place to find, but... More
