I love the Green Tea restaurant chain! I find Green Tea to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. My favorite item is the Green Tea roasted pork. I have never had a bad experience at any Green Tea restaurant.

We dined here with local friends on our visit. Our first shocker was the staggering wait time: over 1.5 hours on a hot Saturday evening. It's situated next to a lotus pond, hence the 'nature' appeal, or so we were told. However, it was so warm inside that we were sweaty the whole time. What's more, there were power outages... More

It does deserve its reputation however we found the long wait/ queue detracted a little from the experience (35min wait) although there was plenty to see in immediate vicinity. Eventual service was quick, food very good but don't expect "atmosphere", it is intended to provide good food at a fast pace.

We had a mixture of chicken feet, vegetable and fish dishes in addition to the Bread Temptation is a block of chiffon-type bread with a couple of spoons of vanilla ice cream. Simple dishes but generally tasty. We dropped by the restaurant early to grab a ticket before returning later to the restaurant. If you miss your queue number, you... More

The restaurant is in a pretty unique location and the layout (several rooms with big windows) makes it a whole with the surrounding nature. Food is very good and particularly cheap. Around lunch-time the queue may be long (particularly if you are more tha 4 people) so be prepared. I strongl suggest to visit this restaurant before or after a... More

Went to Green Tea restaurant during winter in December and I must say it's indeed on picturesque sight. My friends from Hangzhou highly recommended the food there and they were absolutely correct. It was a nice restaurant overlooking a pond and it was beautiful in winter. The ambience was great and the prices were reasonable. My friend who frequents Green... More

Getting a ticket and waiting for a table is fine - took us about 20 mins or so for lunch - but the food is an absolute shocker. We ordered around 6 or 7 dishes (way too many but we weren't to know) and all we're disappointing. A slimy and luke warm tofu gunk with a sprinkling of dried shrimp... More

First: Send someone in to get your number, expect to wait for 30-45 minutes, if not longer. Meanwhile, let everyone else walk around the area (it's lovely, tea fields, pond) until your number is 5 spots away. Second: Order the fish head, the tea leaf roast pork, the nian gao (rice glutamate?), the qianye tofu, which are all home runs.... More
