Very good food and service

I bought a lot of food and still the bill was barely $15. Pricier than local food, but I wanted something different than noodles. I had hot and sour soup, a mango cold soup which was my favorite, spicy squid and ice cream. Everything was good, on par with Chinese Thai food in USA.

This is a great restaurant right across the street. Great food and service. It doubles as a pub. It has traditional Chinese foods, local as well and North American / British flavours.

This place is around for long time. Decent Chinese food for low prices. Quite local food also. Friendly staff

The place serves western and Chinese dishes. Probably this try to serve all the tastes is the biggest disadvantage for this place, since it doesn´t allow it to have any specialty, nothing outstanding. So if you look for local specialties, then try one of the small restaurants you can find anywhere in the town, i.e. Heavenly Ma Na in Wenlin... More

Compared to most restaurants attempting to serve western food in this part of China, Mama Fu's serves food I could eat, rather than fight through the sinue and left chewing like a cow in pasture. The mushroom soup tasted creamy but still needed thickening. The snapper not up to standard, but the beef steak was okay, and I mean just... More

I'm always surprised this place doesn't get more notice from westerners in Kunming; it's my absolute favorite. Probably the best things about it are 1) really great Chinese food with an English + good picture menu and 2) it's in walking distance of the Camellia Youth Hostel and Hotel. There are actually 3 locations, all surrounding the same corner across... More

We stayed nearby, so decided to check out this place rather than have the hotel breakfast buffet. Food was OK, nothing special. Reasonable price.

The selection available from the menu is good for China - the staff are friendly and Polite. A few of them have a basic command of English.
