Pretty good food

A little above a average restaurant, nothing special if you've eaten at a fair amount of Chinese restaurants. Biangbiang noodles were pretty good, and the sweet and sour pork is always a hit with other foreigners, but not any better than most places. Excellent dinner after the water show at the goose pagoda. We ate spinach noodles, belt noodles (must try) and dumplings. Plenty of food, good portion size and very tasty. Dumplings came with nice chilli sauce. Good value for money, efficient service and photo menu. Very helpful in showing westerners how to eat noodles! Only nag is you have to pay... More

This visit to the Big Goose Pagoda North plaza was an experience. Our helpful waitress spoke English. The portions were huge so we cancelled a dish when we saw the size and we still took some away neatly wrapped. Recommend the sweet and sour pork and the pork filled round flat breads but also the omelet in a wafer thin... More

There is more than one location and this review is for the one on Xiaozhai E Road. It was easy to find just east of the Big Goose Pagoda North plaza. It was a little difficult to communicate with the staff because no one spoke English, however the menu has pictures and a brief and literal translation to english, so... More

The time we visited this restaurant, the place was packed, but not a single local was in the place. In just about any place, regardless of which country, the absence of locals is always a bad sign ... in this case, the that proves to be the case too, as the noodles here are bland and fliury, the broth watery,... Fare Chinese meal for someone who is not used to Chinese food. Noodles are appreciated all around the round, the way of making them changes, and Xi'an is applauded for this specialty. I have to admit, beside street noodles, this place might be one of the best I have ever tested. Very delicate in taste, subtile flavors. Cosi and interesting... More

The restaurant was mentioned in our Lonely Planet guide and it turned out it was just a block from our hotel, so we gave it a try. Had two kinds of noodles, one was spinach. Both were great! Vegetables were fresh, and we tried these "pumpkin pies" which were not pumpkin pies at all, but were really good! I saw... More

Was in Xi'An two days ago and decided to give this shop a try after sawing the reviews on tripadvisor. Please do not try as the noodles and pancakes that we ordered tasted terrible... Noodles were not handmade, with too much flour instead. More like a shop for tourists. Confirmed this with my tour guide the next day who shared... More

Whether they were trying to be kind or hide us away, they put our little family of 4 in a private room. We had a laugh about it, being a very blonde family we stick out a bit in China. The service however, was excellent, they attended to us with great efficiency and big smiles. It was really quite a... More

We had been there on a saturday night and it was busy. Place is famous for special noodle type and it was hard to decide. There are lots of options for other than noodle dishes. We even managed to get two vegetarian options. For 6 courses with drinks we paid only 110 yuan!
